Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. want to replace the mounting screw with aOBEN d RING- Oben 1/4 -20 Screw with D-Ring for RP Plates B&H # OBRPS14D MFR # RPS-14DWhen I contacted the agent, he said that it would not fit. This is the same plate used on Mefoto and I was told that MEfoto and Benro are the same. Is this true?

A: The Oben 1/4 -20 Screw with D-Ring for RP Plates B&H # OBRPS14D can work on Induro PU series plates which is the same plate as MeFOTO and Benro. Induro, MeFOTO and Benro are brands under the Mac Group.

Q: 2. would this ball head fit a Benro tripod A0580F ?

A: I accidently hit 'inacurate' and I can't undo it. I have no idea if the original answer is inaccurate or not.

Q: 3. Is it portable with manfrotto mk 190 series?

A: Yes, the Benro IB0 Triple Action Ball Head would be compatible for use with the Manfrotto MT190X3 Aluminum Tripod. The Manfrotto MT190X3 Aluminum Tripod upper disc diameter for the head mount is 2.36 inches (59.94 mm), while the base of the Benro IB0 Triple Action Ball Head is 1.81 inches (46mm). The base of the Benro IB0 Triple Action Ball Head has a standard 3/8"-16 female threaded socket and the center column on the Manfrotto MT190X3 Aluminum Tripod has a male 3/8"-16 threaded screw. The items would be compatible with each other.

Q: 4. Will this fit 501pl plate?

A: Fits arcs Swiss plates

Q: 5. Will this fit the manfrotto 501pl plate?

A: This will not fit the 501PL plate.

Q: 6. Is the arca clamp permanently attached to the ball joint? Can the clamp be removed?

A: The clamp can be removed by the treaded stud. However it looks to me like the plate is designed to fit very nicely on this ball joint. Not sure that another plate would fit as nicely.

Q: 7. Will this fit 501pl plate?

A: No, as the 501pl is Manfrotto's, and only fits Manfrotto's quick release system. You will need an Arca Swiss type plate.

Q: 8. What have been your experiences with this unit? Do you find it sturdy and well made? If you had to buy it again, would you? If not, what would you buy in the same price range and why?

A: Yes, the Benro IB0 Triple Action Ball Head is a well-made, sturdy ball head. As long as your equipment is less than the ball head's listed maximum load capacity, the ball head would be a fantastic recommendation for your needs. I do not own a Benro tripod, but I have borrowed one for use with my Caon 7D and Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens, which is approximately 5.1 lbs, and had no issues.

Q: 9. Is the quick plate of the Benro ball head compatible with a Peak Design Capture clip?

A: It is compatible with the Peak Design Capture Clip.

Q: 10. What is the base diameter of this ball head?

A: Slightly less that 1 13/16.

I needed a ball head that could also pan and which was relatively light weight. This one fits the bill. The tension adjustments are sensitive and can be adjusted exactly as needed. It seems much better constructed than my Oben head and I am satisfied. Hopefully, it will hold u a long time.

Not the most expensive, but well designed and extremely functional. It handles my Nikon D750 and whatever lens I need. No sagging, easy to use, very happy with it. Will see how well it lasts, but I'm feeling good about it.

I'm really an RRS guy, but purchased this after seeing it on a Move-Shoot-Move astro tracker. Needed a ball head that was as light as possible. Very satisfied. Weights next to nothing yet supports my Nikon Z7 with 14-24mm f2.8. No doubt I can go heavier. Nicely finished and comes with plate.

This is by far the best Ball Head I have in my
collection. Very smooth and the Arca
Swiss mount work perfectly. I installed
this on my Benro Monopod and enjoy using it almost every day with my outdoor Real
Estate Shots.

This works really good for still photography. I purchased it to use on a video slider and it holds the camera in place while the slide is working but when moving the slider around I have to take the camera off as the head won't hold it in place. I say this so if you are shooting with a longer lens or a heavier setup and you are moving around with you tripod over you shoulder keep an eye on it. I think it is a great value for the cost.

This works well on a mic stand with a 5/8 to 3/8 adapter to hold MFT camera. Would not recommend using with heavy lenses, it will drift down a bit.
