Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. how many ouylets dose it have?

A: If you mean outputs, it has 2. If you mean inputs, it has 6 mono and 2 stereo.

Q: 2. i have a green white and black wire. how to I wire this?

A: Green / White to center post - Black to Ground (long tail with clamping barbs)

Q: 3. I want to run my iPhone to our church sound system. Can I use a lightning to 1/8" adaptor and then the Switchcraft 318 to go to xlr and get a good signal?

A: Yes, the Switchcraft AudioStix Stereo 3.5mm Female to Balanced Mono XLR Male Adapter is a good solution for converting a stereo 3.5mm signal connection from an iPhone to mono XLR output for connection to a sound system.

Q: 4. Does this convert an unbalanced signal into a balanced signal?

A: Yes it does.

Q: 5. how it setup?

A: The Crown PZM10LL is designed to be surface mounted where only the top portion of the mic is visible. The PZM10LL ships unterminated with 3 bare wires. 2 for audio, and 1 for DC power that needs to be supplied for operation. The PZM10LL outputs a line level signal.

Q: 6. Would this work for a Sennheiser mic k6/me66 to Sony PCM M10 and give balanced output to both L&R ?

A: Im afraid this will not work at all for what you want to do. As its the other way round. The 3.5mm is the input and the XLR is the mic level output. This would be used in a live situation for example where you may have a device that has a 3.5mm output which you plug in the Switchcraft 318 input. Now you can plug the XLR output of the Switchcraft 318 into a snake or stage box to go into the house mixer at mic level.

Q: 7. Can I connect a mixer's phone stereo out to the 3.5mm female and use XLR to TRS female adapter to convert headphones to mono?

A: Yes you can connect the headphone output of a mixer into the 1/8'' input on the Switchcraft AudioStix adapter.

Q: 8. If I plug a mono source (via TS or TRS) into the left input of a stereo channel, does the balance pot work as a normal pan pot?

A: The Soundcraft EPM 6 - 6 Mono + 2 Stereo Audio Console does not accept stereo signals and exclusively uses balanced inputs which are mono. You will need to use two cables, one for left, one for right, in order to add a stereo source.

Q: 9. I want to only use the left side of a stereo channel - does the balance pot act like a normal pan pot in this circumstance?

A: When only using the L channel on one of the EPM 6 - 6 Mono + 2 Stereo Audio Console, the channel will output the Left signal as a Mono signal. The panning will operate identically to the other mono channels.

Q: 10. do you have a stereo plug for a model PKT C1 pocketalker Pro hearing aide?

A: Bought this to use with a Sony AM/FM radio. A reviewer of the radio said his earbuds only allowed one side.Found that Sony had wired the headphone jack to out put Mono to both earbuds. So I did not need the stereo to mono adapter. I did notice that when using the adapter the left earbud was lower in level. I think the adapter was working but was conflicting with the way Sony had wired the headphone jack.
