The Dalite 45 x 80" Cosmopolitan Electrol Motorized Projection Projection Screen is a rugged and reliable screen for office and educational use. This screen is a viable option when your venue does not permit or require a recessed screen. The switch permits the screen to be stopped at pre-set limits but is adjustable.

A: Per page 5 of the manual, the housing for Da-Lite's Large Cosmopolitan Electrol extends about 4" out from the edges of the screen on either side. The Da-Lite 40823 Large Cosmopolitan Electrol 12 x 12' Motorized Screen (120V), B&H # DACE1212MW, would require an absolute minimum of 152" of horizontal space, but I would recommend having at least 160" of horizontal space.

A: Wires will depend on your particular device. The built in Low Voltage Controller allows the included wall switch as well as devices, such as automation systems, third-party wall switches, and remotes, that support LVC to raise or lower the screen remotely.

Great little screen, and very easy to install. Be prepared for it to stink for the first couple days as it off-gasses, but that dissipated fairly quickly and was not too noxious. The picture I get on this screen is quite nice, and the motor is fairly quiet. 5

I looked at a LOT of different projection screens before settling on this one. I've been very happy with it. The motor is fairly quiet and the image quality is great. My only regret is that I missed the text indicating the optimal distance for the projector. We have ours mounted about 12' away, which is technically too close for optimal image quality. This results in some visible ripples under certain very specific viewing conditions, but they are barely noticeable to most people and I've learned to ignore them. Still, if you want perfection, be certain you're using a projector that doesn't remotely qualify as short throw. 5
