However, as I do own this Atlas MS25 microphone stand, I am absolutely confident that it would support both a 12 lb isolation stand and a heavy condenser mic simultaneously ! I feel reasonably confident that it would also support the isolation filter extended on a boom as long as your boom is heavily counter weighted. It's a great heavy duty stand. I suspect you may have some difficulty moving the stand, with an additional 12lbs mounted, around the room. I love the one I have and intend to buy another.

A: Yes, you just need an adaptor for the mic stand to accomodate the standard smaller (camera size) threading on the bottom of the DR-40 BH has them, it's this adaptor below.
