Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. how much weight can it hold?

A: It's a Mic stand, it has no problem with an added goose neck and a wireless microphone.

Q: 2. What is the minimum and maximum length between the pivot point/clamp and the mic thread?

A: The Atlas Sound PB21XEB boom arm extends from a minimum length of 25.25" to a maximum length of 38.50".

Q: 3. Will the atlas qr2 work with this stand?

A: Yes. It will fit into the base of this stand and fit the tube.

Q: 4. I need just the clutch knob. Can I just buy it?

A: B&H does not offer just the clutch component. Please contact the manufacturer directly:Atlas SoundTel: (800) 876-3333 or (877) 689-8055Website: a href= http://www.atlassound.com/ target= _blank http://www.atlassound.com//a

Q: 5. What is the measurement of the tubing thread going in to the base? will it fit the Atlas Sound MS20B replacement base?

A: 5/8-27

Q: 6. What is the diameter of the base for this item?

A: The Atlas DMS10E has a 10 diameter cast iron base.

Q: 7. OK to add a boom arm e.g. PB21XEB to this? Will mostly use with Shure BLX24 mics.

A: Yes, that boom arm will work with the MS-43E stand. If you will be using a wireless handheld transmitter from the BLX series, I would suggest getting a mic clip such as the On-Stage MY110 Wireless Rubber Microphone Clip (B&H # ONMY110) that can fit a wireless mic in it if you do not already have one.

Q: 8. Is this mic stand sturdy enough to hold an isolation filter if I find that to be a necessary purchase?

A: Yes.

Q: 9. how long is it collapsed?

A: About 33 collapsed.

Q: 10. The photographic illustrations that the shopper sees for this stand may cause confusion. This is for the 'LOW' profile base product. The photograph of the higher, rounded base version should be replaced with the correct photograph. I cannot make a question out of this. I hope that this is helpful to others and I hope that I haven't purchased the wrong product. ?

A: Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will get the image fixed asap.

I use this as a stand for my Moog Theremin, and it works great. It's adjustable lower than the less expensive round-based mic stands, so I can use it while seated, but also adjusts to standing height, and its very stable. Much more stable than the tripod stand I bought initially, because of its weight. Also very well made. I didn't want to spend as much this cost, but now that I have it, I'm glad I did.

Very sturdy! fabulous! I really like it! I just want to clarify that the measurements published by Atlas are wrong. My stand only goes up to 57

Very happy with this stand. It gets small for transport and the low center of gravity prevents tip over while standing upright in your car. Black color with low sheen keeps it from stealing focus. The base is lower profile than my other Atlas stands but still has all the weight it needs.

These stands are the best for use in my pro studio. Since they have 3 telescoping sections, I can use a small weighted boom arm with them and not have lots of metal pipes going everywhere. Most players in my studio record sitting down, so these seldom get extended all the way; when they do, they're great. Since they're telescoping, they're easy to use in tight situations, like miking a drum kit. The clutches are good and easy to set. The larger clutch has air cushioning. Great fit and finish, which are important in the studio.
