The DVI2PCIe Duo PCIe x4 Video Capture Card from Epiphan can capture lossless video from dual-link and single-link DVI sources, and VGA, HDMI, and SDI video sources, as well as audio from SDI and unencrypted HDMI sources. The card supports various resolutions up to 2048 x 2048, with different frame rates supported for each. Full HD 1080p resolution can be captured at up to 60 fps, 2048 x 2048 at 20 fps, and 1024 x 768 at 85 fps.

The DVI2PCIe provides uncompressed dual-channel video to 3rd-party recording, streaming, conferencing, and video analysis software applications running on Windows, Mac OS, or Linux platforms. It is suitable for AV professionals who capture and record production-quality video directly from SDI and DVI. The DVI2PCIe Duo Video Capture Card features a low-profile design and comes with a low-profile bracket for installation in 2U cases.

A: The file created will be dependent on the software used for capturing. If you are using a Mac and Quick Time Player it would be Pro Res.

A: B&H # MA11530 has 2 SDI connections, it does not offer SDI and HDMI. As far as the length, Magewell does not list that. However that is because it has MMCX to BNC Adapter Cables, instead of having BNC connection built on to the unit for size reasons. The cables will only be a few inches long.

A: Yes, if the Standard Def Video comes out of an SD-SDI connection it will be recorded with this unit.

I bought this device to allow me to stream society meetings via WebEx. It is a perfect solution. No additional software to install, just plug it in and it works. Even better is that it will allow you to extract audio from any one of the eight embedded channels in the SDI signal. One cable does it all. Highly recommended. Also works with Skype. 5
