Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this fit a Shure SM7B?

A: No, the WindTech 900 Series Microphone Windscreen - 1-5/8" Inside Diameter is not compatible for use with the Shure SM7B Vocal Microphone. It is much too small. The SM7B has a diameter of 2.5". The Shure RK345 Windscreen (B&H # SHRK345) is the correct replacement. Unfortunately, it is not available in green.

Q: 2. Will these fit a Sanken COS-11d ?

A: No, the WindTech TC-9 Soft Mount Rotating Tie Clips should not be used to mount the Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone. The 2.1mm diameter of the COS-11D cable is slightly too large to fit within the mounting space of the TC-9 Clip, which specifies compatibility with microphone cables between 0.8-2mm.

Q: 3. Will this fit an Electro-Voice RE50?

A: Sure will. Tight fit - ease it on carefully.

Q: 4. What is the inside depth? Is the 5700 or 600 series deeper inside? I need to fit a Rode M3 which needs 2 inches.

A: The WindTech 5700 Series and 600 Series Windscreens are both compatible for use with the RODE M3 End-Address Condenser Microphone. The inside depth for both models is 1.75". Here are the dimensions for both models: WindTech 5700 Series: Inside Diameter: 1.000″ (25 mm) Inside Depth: 1.750″ (44 mm) Overall Height: 2.500″ (64 mm) Overall Diameter: 1.750″ (44 mm) WindTech 600 Series: Inside Diameter: 1.000″ (25 mm) Inside Depth: 1.750″ (44 mm) Overall Height: 2.625″ (70 mm) Overall Diameter: 2.000″ (51 mm)

Q: 5. Is there a stud to shoe adapter that will fit this clamp? I have the clamp but would like to mount my accessory shoe bar to it but would need an adapter that would go in place of the 1/2 thread that comes with the clamp and instead have an accessory shoe end.

A: This is probably not the answer you are looking for but here goes. I had a specific use in mind when I bought the clamp. I turned down a piece of delran (plastic) on my lathe to fit the hole where the stud is and turned the other end to fit a 1/2 pvc pipe ell. I the turned another piece of delran to fit the ell and mounted a tray to hold picks, water capo, etc while playing. The clamp fit perfectly on my music stand.Bob K

Q: 6. Will this fit a Samson Q2U?

A: Yes, the WindTech 900 Series Microphone Windscreen - 1-5/8" Inside Diameter will fit on the Samson Q2U Handheld Microphone.

Q: 7. Does it fit for Sennheiser e845

A: Yes it does

Q: 8. The specs say this is compatible with a Sennheiser ME66, but it seems too big for it. I can’t find any reviews online, has anyone tried this and what is your opinion?

A: I think you're correct. The ME66/K6 is 8.7" long, and the interior of this windshield is also 8.7". And although we do not have a 7" K-tech, you might want to consider this one from Auray: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1047687-REG/auray_wsw_007mkii_fuzzy_windbuster_for_rovmr.html

Q: 9. will these fit akg 414's?

A: It might be a bit loose. The 414 is a rectangle and this pop filter is round so it may not be a perfect fit. If you are using a 414 I would use a 414 pop filter. Not a cheap universal piece of foam. Here is the real deal.

Q: 10. Would this also fit the Sennheiser AVX-835?

A: Yes this will fit no problem

these windscreens are a quality product. i use them on my Shure SM57 microphones. they are simply placed over the top of the microphone & have a snug fit.these windscreens differ from the Shure brand windscreens in two significant ways. first, the Shure brand is far more expensive. second, the Shure brand requires a small, eyeglass-type screwdriver to lock the windscreen onto the microphone (the shure brand windscreens can be seen on any presidential podium since 1965).WindTech has provided a much easier, cost-effective, & acoustically transparent way of eliminating unwanted wind &/or pop noise from your microphone.
