Just got a brand new one! I`ve owned mine for 12+ years and put it through the ringer. It doesn`t owe me a dime. For location shoots on the go it fits all my equipmwent, hugs my body and easy to get stuff in and out. Domke bags are the best, been using them over 30 years.

I had considered ordering a smaller bag, but this one works well for two Canon 80Ds, a 70-200 F2.8 and 18-135 Canon zooms. With a little rearranging it carries them comfortably with plenty of room for misc. accessories (flash, filters, batteries). And there are plenty of side compartments. I was leary because some reviewers noted this case does not give adequate protection, due to its soft construction. I can't quarrel with that perspective; a hard case would be more protective, but this case also hugs my body as I use it, giving it a low profile for such a large case. The clips that close it are not as easy to use as a velcro closure, but they are secure and not that hard to unfasten, while at the same time being almost impossible to become inadvertently unlatched. It is also relatively inconspicuous; it doesn't scream, Valuable photo equipment inside!! I use this case both for storage and as a working bag. It appears it will last a long time.

As both a digital and analog shooter - often shooting both formats together on the same outing - I found the Domke F-1X an ideal bag for carrying my hybrid kit. The F1-X accommodates, with ease, my F6 and D4s (D800), several AFS-D lenses (17-35mm, 50mm, 28-70, and 80-200mm), several spare CF and SD cards, an abundant supply of film, a cleaning kit, and my logbook. Typical of Domke, the bag is well thought out, and well constructed. A measure of confidence in Domke bags? This is my third purchase (I keep different film kits in each): I now have a pair of F2 bags as well as the recently purchased F-1X. I would give an unqualified thumbs-up to the F-1X; Domke products are first rate.

I used to own a blue Domke Little Bit Bigger bag. My favorite use was for my Toyo 4x5 camera. The only thing I didn't like about it, it would lean over to one side while sitting on the floor, whether it was fill or empty. I will probably buy another one one day.

This bag feels like a military spec product. The canvas, zippers and straps are heavy duty. The strap does use plastic connects at various points (so do some military spec'd items these days). Just hope they hold up. As heavy duty as this bag is, it hugs to my side in a comfortable manner. Not a lot of bouncing around as a result. I have (2) older 35mm manual bodies, a full-sized hot show mounted flash, (4) lenses and a (6-sized) filter case. There is still room for a few more accessories in the front, side and top storage areas. With larger camera bodies, you may only be able to fit one body depending on the size. The lens pouch can be moved over to one side to give you more room for one large body. Keep in mind, the little bit bigger version of this bag is also available if needed.

I did not buy this bag for use as a camera bag, so my apologies that I cannot comment on it in that respect. But I have several Domke camera bags that I have used as camera bags for years, and I can say that this bag like the others is a quality item that should last for years of hard use for whatever its intended purpose. It is the largest one I own and fills the specific need for which I bought it, but it should serve very well for someone who needs a large camera bag.

This olive color F-1X bag costs a lot less than the sand color version. Otherwise, it's the same. I've been involved in photography for 50 years, and the Domke bags are the best I've seen. Very sturdy and strong, never wear out. No weight-bearing zippers.

I really love this bag. I wish I had bought one years ago.

My FX6 with a FE PZ 28-135 lens and several accessories fits perfectly in this bag.
