A: Unfortunately, Savage does not list the length of the Savage Translucent Umbrella (36 ) when folded. The best I can list is the packaging dimensions for the umbrella are listed as 30.0 x 3.0 x 1.5 , so I would guess the umbrella is slightly shorter than 30 inches when folded closed.

A: I have this umbrella and used it several months. I did not see any light leaks. Seems light the light coming off the umbrella is softer. Hope this helps. Sol

The umbrella is very light weight, and folds considerably small. So far I used it as a reflector with the Flash facing the inside of the umbrella. I use it together with the Manfrotto 026 swivel umbrella adapter. 5

These shoot-through umbrellas fold down to about 15” and easily fit in your bag. I use them with TT-L adapter and umbrella adapter with regular strobes. I can also set them up on two tripods for more semi-permanent rig, but usually have an assistant hold the entire setup with a screw-on foam handle. The main point is that you end up with a very effective light modifier system while adding about 1.5 lbs. to your kit. RichLaceyPhotography 5

Great compact 36 umbrella. If you don't need a reflective umbrella and only require one to shoot through then this one is the perfect size. a 45 can be good for bigger groups, but it is a little bulky for me so I went the 36 and happy! Good quality and comes with a great carry case. Very happy to be the first reviewer here on such a nice product!! 5

For an inexpensive shoot through umbrella this is a really nice build.� Sturdy frame, good umbrella material and a solid pole that won't crush when you connect it to your light stand.� Works great! 5

This so far seems like a standard and nicely made umbrella. The shaft collapses and makes it store away in half the length of a normal version. Only thing I would change is that it has a satin like finish, and I would rather it was plain. Otherwise, excellent buy. 5
