A: B&H will email you an activation code. After you download and install creative cloud you can activate it within the program with that code. You will have to create an adobe login and the lic will follow you with your login. We had it on the laptop and desktop and it worked great on both but not at the same time.

Q: 3. Can you purchase this if you have had a membership with Adobe CC before? On their site, they have an educator discount and it says that the price is avaliable for first time memberships only. I have looked all over this page and have seen nothing that states that for this membership. I just want to make sure that you can use this even if you have had a membership before I purchase it.

A: And for anyone reading responses to this old question, if you sign in with your Adobe account when you go to enter your activation key, you will add 12 months to your existing subscription. No need to create a new account and you don't lose the remaining time on your current subscription.
