The legs feature a reverse folding design that pairs with the 5 section profile to maintain the compact form factor that is ideal for location lighting applications. Q: 2. Will this work with the Westcott 26 Rapid Box?

A: I love these, they're super light and compact. The'll work with the 26 Westcott Rapid Box with a speed light, but with that load it's certain to move about in the wind. You'll also need a sand bag to bring more weight to the base. I would still consider owning a second heavier stand for windy conditions or when an assistant is required to hold the stand not perpendicular to the ground and fully extended.

Q: 3. Are these air?

A: Unfortunately, these stands are not air cushioned. An alternative for an air-cushioned stand in a similar height is the Impact Air-cushioned Light Stand (Black, 8') B&H # IMLS8A. Please see the image below for reference.

A: Just under 20" (19.5")

Q: 6. Can I put a speed light on this?

A: Absolutely but you would need a shoe mount bracket with a cold shoe to mount a hot shoe speed light to the stand.

Q: 7. Would this be acceptable for a Apollo mega soft box to keep it close to the floor?

A: Mounting the Mega with an umbrella bracket on this stand would get you within 4 to 6 inches of the floor. For contact with the floor I would suggest the #7425, 7 foot stand. It has a large footprint for stability but reduces to a small height. Add weight to the base for stability if you want to use these stands at near their full extension.

Q: 8. How come this stand comes with a 3/8 thread when all the others come with the 1/4 ?

A: It comes with both, has an insert

Q: 9. What is the diameter of the widest riser? I am looking to place the center column through a pvc connector if I can find a connector that is wide enough.

A: The outside diameter of the bottom riser (the largest) is 1 (one) inch.

Q: 10. will any stand or head work with the profit b2?

A: It work for b2 indoor only. But I don't recommend it for outdoor. It's not strong enough. And the price is higher than other products in the same quality

Smallest folded size and highest max height in the category. Also feels more solid than stands I have rated for more load. Only better options are in the $200+ range. 5

This folds up super small to fit into a carry on and yet is sturdy and fully capable. You could easily fit a dozen of these in a carryon. I have a couple, and Im about to get a couple more. A must for anyone who travels with equipment. Save yourself the space and broken back caused by unnecessarily bulky stands and pick up a couple of these. 5

These are great for the Westcott Light wands that I purchased a couple of years ago, very portable because of the light weight, you have to be careful when placing a sand bag to secure the stand, don't throw the bag at the stand. 5

I purchased this light stand to travel with me. I needed something lightweight and compact. This fills the bill. For a lightweight stand, I don't know how this could be any better, for the price. It travels in a very compact state, sets up easily, and holds a speedlight with a 26 softbox. 5

My stands got messed up every time I flew. This fits in my carry on and easily in my camera bag tripod holder throughout the day. Terrific travel light stand. Sturdy enough and gets pretty tall for how small it is folded down. 5

When I found these I decided I must have 2. And I don't regret it one but! They fit perfectly in my carry on bag and then when I realized I was able to put both on my think tank airport carry on bag without worrying they would fall out I was blown away! Happy with both of these purchases and can't wait to do some more traveling with them. 5
