$807.00 $976.47

Tele Vue engineered this medium focal length DeLite Series 7mm Eyepiece to produce a moderate magnification on most OTAs, and be as sharp and clear as their venerable Delos line, but smaller and more lightweight. The eyepiece features fully multi-coated optics that maximize light transmission and improve color and contrast across its entire wide 62° field of view. An exceptionally-long 20mm eye relief allows users to back off the eyecup for a more comfortable viewing experience with a greatly reduced risk of interfering vibrations caused by accidental contact with the eyepiece lens. The eyepiece is outfitted with their proprietary locking eyeguard which lets you set the eye relief in the perfect position whether you wear glasses or not. This DeLite has a barrel diameter of 1.25" to fit into the most common size focusers and accessories, and is parfocal with all Tele Vue Group 'B' eyepieces, allowing you to change compatible eyepieces without having to refocus - saving time and limiting vibrations.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are the Delos eyepieces par-focal?

A: Yes they are par focal with many other Televue eyepieces. Go to the televue site and look at the chart of eyepiece specifications. Scan the column 4G . Eyepieces with the same letter in that column are parfocal. So most of the Delos ep's have the letter B . You will see that some other types of TV eyepieces also have the letter B . All those are par focal.

Q: 2. If I buy this from B&H is the Celestron warranty valid in Canada?

A: Yes this warranty is valid to U.S.A. and Canadian customers who have purchased this product from an authorized Celestron dealer in the U.S.A. or Canada.

Q: 3. Are Televue Ethos eyepieces made in USA? Ie are they NAFTA qualified?

A: The Tele Vue Ethos-SX 3.7mm Ultra Wide-Angle Eyepieces, are made in Taiwan, and are not NAFTA qualified.

Q: 4. Hello,Is this lens compatible with the Celestron 6SE telescope?Many thanks

A: I bought the lens about a month but have no chance to view through it yet. However I did try fitting it to my Celestron 8SE telescope which has a 1.25 diagonal and I did not have any problem.

Q: 5. Good day,I got a Celestron NexStar Evolution 9.25 last week and from the reading it seems that it would benefit greatly from better eyepieces than the supplied stock ones. The telescope has Focal Length 2350 mm and Focal Ratio 10.I'm reading good things about the TeleVue Ethos.I was thinking about getting the Ethos 21mm. Would that be a good choice for my telescope? Also the Ethos SX 4.7mm, but maybe it would be too much power for my telescope? The supplied stock 13mm seems quite shaky as it is, using it from my apartment balcony. For the Ethos 21mm I would need 2 diagonal. Would TeleVue 2 Everbrite Diagonal - Satin be a good choice? Would it fit my telescope?Or maybe the Meade Series 5000 Dielectric Diagonal (2 ) as it seems to be supplied with Schmidt-Cassegrain to 2 adapter?Would there be a big difference between these two diagonals in the picture quality or not really on my telescope? What is the advantage of getting Ethos 21mm and Ethos 10mm versus Ethos 21mm and a 2x Barlow?Any advise/recommendations would be appreciated.Thanks.Regards,Andrej

A: I would personally go with the 21mm Ethos model. The 4.7mm will be overkill I think. You could still use it, but you would notice some shake for sure. I would go with the Meade 5000 Series for the Diagonal that would be a better choice. Q: 6. are the Delos series eye pieces par-focal?

A: Yes it is. This is parfocal with Tele Vue Group B eyepieces so no refocusing is required when switching between eyepieces within the group.

Q: 7. What is country of origin ? Tele Vue 13mm Ethos 2 / 1.25 Eyepiece with 100 degree.

A: Taiwan, Republic of China

Q: 8. B&H review note says Delos 8mm eyepiece is parfocal with GROUP B, what is that?

A: That is referring to compatible Parfocal Group 'B' Eyepieces. Here is a list of those eyepieces: 8 - 32mm Plossl eyepieces All DeLite eyepieces 19 & 24mm Panoptic eyepieces 3.5 - 12mm Delos eyepieces 16mm Nagler 5 eyepiece All 1.25" Nagler 6 series eyepieces

Q: 9. Is this a good eyepiece and is it compatible with the Celestron Nexstar 105 GT telescope?

A: Televue Panoptics are excellent eyepieces. Very sharp, clear images. To determine if an eyepiece is compatible with your telescope you first need to calculate your telescope's Maximum True Field of View, then calculate the eyepiece's True field of View. Eyepieces that have a True Field of View greater than your telescope's Maximum True Field of View will cutoff the image and have chromatic aberrations around the edges. Generally speaking, it does not hurt to go a little over tFOV with quality eyepieces, but the more the eyepiece's tFOV is over the telescopes's max tFOV more of the image is cutoff and the worse the chromatic aberrations get around the edges. There are several very good free eyepiece calculators available on the web to calculate Max tFOV, and help determine eyepiece compatibility.

This is my second eyepiece of the DeLite series. This is very well made, of high quality, sharp image/view, and great eye relief. Perfect for someone wearing eyeglasses. Stars are sharp pinpoints and the angle of view is nice. It is a Delite to use! B&H sales and shipping were great as always.

Hello, I own 4 Tele Vue Delites. They are spectacular. I have had E.S 52's, 82s, Baader Morpheus series, Meade MWA, Celestron X-cell.
These Delites are amazing. I have the 18.2, 11, 7, and 5. Fabulous. Eye comfort is second to none, contrast is superb, correction to the edge!
you can not go wrong and I doubt you will find better. Made in Japan as well.

Not unexpected that this would be a great eyepiece, given that it's a Tele Vue. Filled in a gap I had in my collection.
