The mahogany wood 4 x 5" Pinhole Camera from Lensless features a 3" focal length. Lensless Cameras are constructed of different woods. Each model has a tiny hole (1/64" or smaller) precisely drilled in the front panel. The shutter is simply a small hinged metal plate that the photographer swings up and down to begin and end the exposure. The focal length is determined by the length of the camera. The format is determined by the size of the back of the camera, which accepts the film holder. Since it is designed to accept a sheet film holder, there is no need to load the camera in the dark.
This is a mahogany wood, 4 x 5" Pinhole Camera, with a focal length of 75mm, which is a wide angle perspective for this format. Average exposure in bright, noon-day sun is 4 seconds, using 400 ISO film.

If you are using 400 speed film choose ISO 400 on the meter or camera. Then cross reference the reading vs the chart for f/230.I have another chart that shows me the additional time required because of the film's reciprocity failure rate. (This will be specific to the film you are using.)
Q: 6. does this have any kind of hole so you can attach it to a tripod?
A: Yes, the Santa Barbara 4x5 pinhole camera has 2 threaded 1/4"-20 mounting points for either portrait or landscape shots.
Q: 7. What's the approximate aperture size for the wide angle 4x5? Thanks :)
A: This 4 x 5" Pinhole Camera, with a focal length equivalent of 75mm, which is a wide angle lens for this format. It has a 3" lens. Average exposure in bright, noon-day sun is 4 seconds, using 400 ISO film. f-stop = focal length / pinhole diameter; f-stop = 76.2mm / 0.4mm; f-stop = 190.5.
Q: 8. Will this hold most common film holders? I see someone posted a link to a 2 pack for $100. I would like to try and limit the price if possible. Thank you.
A: Yes, any of the standard 4x5 cut film holders will work quite nicely. I have 15 or 20 of them that I load at one time, so there is no need to do so in the field.
Q: 9. does it accept paper or just film?
A: You need to use a film holder on this camera, since the actual back is not light tight. It's only light tight once there is a film holder in place. Assuming you can load a 4x5 film back with a sheet of paper, then you can shoot either film of paper with this camera. Hope this helps.
Q: 10. DO I have to carry a dark bag to load and unload 1 sheet of film for every picture?
A: You do not need a a light tight changing bag. You can load these holders in your darkroom: https://bhpho.to/2bHTGqE
