With a heat-resistant construction and 70" diameter, the Para 177 Reflector F Kit from Broncolor allows users to produce precise, efficient lighting using tungsten fixtures up to 2000W. The reflector's parabolic shape and silver interior yield very high light efficiency, wrapping the subject in brilliant light which emphasizes detail and due to the calculated parabolic form of the reflector, light fall-off only occurs at the Para's extreme edge. This kit features a focusing tube for use with Broncolor's adapter system, enabling use with a wide range of lights. Additionally, it comes with a rolling travel bag. This system's focusing tube can also be swapped out for an FT tube for use with the FT lighting system.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I saw that the description says that comes with the focusing device, but what is the focusing device that we are talking about? is that one that goes with the flash or the hmi or is can be use with both system?

A: The Focusing Device refers to the component that mounts to the rear of the Para reflector and supports the focus rod. This part supports both Focusing Rod FT133 (for HMI/Tungsten) and Focusing Rod F133 (Strobe / other adapters).

Q: 2. I ordered this para 88 kit from our local provider. And now I want the 133 but don't have the budget. Can I buy only the 133 reflector (I know there is a separate reflector for the 88 B-33.482.00) and adapt the focusing tube from the 88?

A: The Para 133 reflector is not available standalone, it can only be purchased with the focusing device and focusing tube F or FT

Q: 3. Is there an adapter available to use this reflector with Photogenic Solairs?

A: Unfortunately, there are no adapters available for the Photogenic Solair to the Broncolor Para 177.

Q: 4. In broncolor website and everywhere there are 2 products listed 1. Para 133 reflector and 2. Para 133 reflector without adapter. This is with all para models. Can someone explain the following to me 1) If i take first one, can i mount the Siros L straight from the back like normal softbox position 2) If i take the second one i.e. without adapter, it comes with focused tube etc but does it come with the attachment where i can mount Siros L or do i need to buy something more?

A: The Broncolor Para can not be used as a direct light source. The Option with out a specific mount is a 5/8ths stud that can be used, but using a light off axis will affect the quality of the results.

Q: 5. Does anyone have recommendations as to which stand to use this with? I'm thinking the wheeled either Matthews Senior double riser #H386027 or the junior triple riser #H386033 but can't decide so great to get any insights into this

A: Though not a specific recommendation, you do want meet the minimum weight capacity of the combined Para (approx 30 lbs.) plus the lamp you will be using. With Para 222 specifically, many of our users remark that wind-up or crank-driven riser is much more convenient given the weight of the combined setup as well.

Q: 6. So if I already have the Siros 800L, I require a Para 133 to have the HR and FT designation: and because, the HR denotes the ability of the Para 133 to absorb/reflect the heat of the 800L's mono light, and that the 800L requires the FT focusing rod?

A: This kit is for heat resistance and is really set up for other lights. It is better to get this kit, Broncolor Para 133 Reflector Kit with Focusing Tube B&H # BRP133RK MFR # B-33.550.03And this adapter Broncolor Pulso Head Adapter for Para 88 FB B&H # BRAPP88FS MFR # B-33.489.00

Q: 7. Are Elinchrom adapter mounts available..?

A: At this time we recommend using the Universal Para adapter with elinchrom lights.

Q: 8. If I have Profoto B1 and B2 lights, can this reflector or the Para 133 be adapted? or does getting it with the rod supply all the light but then what about a power source, Do I need a power pack?

A: Yes, all four sizes of Paras can be adapted to Profoto, using the Para adapter for Profoto, B&H #BRPAP88FB, Manufacturer #B-33.489.03. The adapter attaches to the end of the included focusing rod and allows for a Profoto head to be attached like a reflector or softbox would.Your existing Profoto lights can be used, however we strongly advise using a light with a fully exposed flash tube or dome to ensure optimal light quality from the Paras.

Q: 9. Is there an adaptor available to use this para with Profoto strobes?

A: There is an adapter for Profoto heads called the Bron Kobold Profoto Head Adapter for Para 88, 133, 177, 222. Please see the link below for reference.

Q: 10. Hello, what kind of stand you suggest (i.e. footprint and max. load) while using the Para 133 with an attached Einstein unit?

A: Kupo makes a stand BH #KUKS200112 that can be used with the Broncolor Para 133 Reflector Kit with Focusing Tube BH #BRP133RK.
