It's good for use in still-life photos that need to emphasize a subject and add a certain bang. Additionally its more affordable than Canon's similar use w/a lens but preforms with the same quality and minimal distortion. Despite it's heavy weight it is still ideal for vacation photography as it provides interesting pictures every time. However if it is being used for portraits the subject needs to be in the middle as they will look 10-20lbs heavier with the side distortion.

I use this for indoors and landscapes. It has a great feel and does exactly what I need it to do. My son, a pro photographer, has this lense. I saw what it could do. So I had to have it to add to my arsonel.

I rented the Canon 10-22 mm from lensrentals.com. Itwas a great lens. I did a lot of reading and bought the Sigma 3.5. It too is a great lens & is cheaper than the Canon. I noticed some darkened edges if I was shooting in low light. I know the word for it and didn't remember how to spell it. At any rate I like the lens and would buy it again.

Fast, silent focus. Very sharp images, excellent color. Very well made. Fantastic Lens for use in Air Craft Museums. Incredibly wide. Couldn't ask for a better wide angle lens.

Great lens highly recommend. Very limited distortion at 10mm which is easily corrected in Lightroom 3.

I bought this lens as a super wide angle solution for wedding work. I shoot on a Canon 7D. I was considering the Canon 10-20, but it stops down from 3.5 to 4.5 as you zoom, I wanted at least a constant f4. This lens works very well, it's very sharp, and focuses quick. Only comment is that it does have some CA in extremely strong contract situations. However I shoot in RAW format, and I have never seen CA on this lens which cannot be removed in Camera RAW post work.

This is a perfect lens for taking wide angle pics of sports team, nature shots and wildlife. This lens was by far the best purchase I made in NY. If you are looking for a super wide zoom lens...this is the da bomb! Will highly recommend to all of my friends!!

taking pictures of interior. taking video clips where room is very compact. I bought this lens a couple of months ago from BHphoto. recently i had chance to use it and i am really impressed with clarity,quick focus and least distortion when compared to several other lenses with the same tech specs.

got this lens for architecture and city shots when I go on vacation with my canon t2i, this lens is very nice since its a relatively fast lens and focuses good, normal distortion at 10mm, not really noticeable at 20mm, great lens to carry with you everyday!!!
