Audio professionals in search of an all-weather low-frequency speaker will appreciate the JBL AWC15LF, a weather-resistant, low-frequency loudspeaker that is well suited for speech and music in various environments such as sports facilities, racetracks, stadiums, themed entertainment venues, music/paging systems, and other outdoor or indoor venue types.

Featuring an IP56 weather-resistant rating, the AWC15LF speaker utilizes a 15" woofer with Kevlar-reinforced cone with a 3" voice coil, which delivers a 70 Hz to 1.2 kHz (±3 dB) frequency response. Power handling is 1400W peak at 8 Ohms or 300W at 70/100V with a multi-tap, built-in transformer. The enclosure is made of an ABS material with a glass enclosure that is heavily braced for durability. The speaker is equipped with two integrated M10 (fine-thread) points for the included U-bracket. A secondary safety M6 attachment point is located on the back panel.

We just set these up in the pool area after painting them to match the siding of the pool house. We have them set low on the wall and horizontal with the bass speakers facing down. The sound is fantastic and fills the area with a nice soundstage and great detail. It's being driven by a HEOS Amplifier. 5

I installed 7 of these speakers in my outdoor patio 3 years ago. They install easily, with lots of possible orientations. No maintenance, no cleaning, and they still sound great. Some of mine are exposed to the elements directly, some are not. The bass response is good, but will still sound best when complimented with an outdoor sub (JBL has some options). Someone (ok, it was me) threw a Nerf football and hit one of the speakers. The speaker grill was majorly dented, but the sound was not affected. I called DT customer support and they sent me a replacement grill free of charge. You can't beat that. 5

These are insanely amazing speakers! Awesome bass, and incredible mids and highs. There is absolutely NOTHING on the market that comes close. For those who are complaining they blew theirs up... hello? Have you ever heard of a warranty? DefTech customer service is as outstanding as their speakers. You should try it, and stop complaining. 5

Just finished the install earlier today on the back patio and am very impressed with the sound. I did as the instructions say and "broke them in" at a moderate volume for approximately 30 hours. An absolutely wonderful sounding set of speakers. I have heard some of the other brands out there and from what I have heard, nothing comes close. 5

We have had these speakers for two years use them out at the pool mounted to the outside wall of pool house under an eve midrange pointed out and the bass pointing down. Could not be happier load and clear with great sounding bass, remember they're only as good as the stereo, hook them up to a good stereo and enjoy! 5

I wasnt sure If such a small speaker would give so much power. I pleasantly suprised to see that the speaker was clear and loud for what I needed it for monitor for my vocals. 5
