Every day, for local, national, and international news reports, the Electro-Voice RE50N/D-L with Long Handle and Neodymium Capsule gathers the audio for news interviews. Designed specifically as an ENG/EFP interview microphone, the RE50N/D-L's custom Dyna-Damp "mic-within-a-mic" shockmount provides extremely low handling noise for clear sound. A large, built-in Acoustifoam filter keeps wind and P-pop noise to an absolute minimum, indoors or out. Frequency response is 80 Hz to 13 kHz.

Measuring 9.5" in total length, this extended handle length version delivers all of the sonic performance of the RE50B, adding the virtues of a longer body length for ease-of-use, helping keep the reporter's hand out of the shot.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with the Rode GO II mic transmitter?

A: Yes.

Q: 2. Does this microphone need a windscreen for outdoor use? The item description suggests the windscreen is built-in.

A: Yes you will need a windscreen for outdoor use. Why listen back to the best take of the day and say oh i can wind noise, why didnt i just put the cover on in the first place .

Q: 3. My Pearstone Universal Plug-In Transmitter Holster failed and the mic dropped from my hip straight down on the concrete. Now broken I'm asking if there is a easy repair or fix? Who would service this mic?

A: You can contact Electro-Voice directly for repairs: 800-392-3497 or 866-782-8346

Q: 4. Is this a directional microphone?

A: No, the Interview GO is a handheld adapter for the Wireless GO transmitter which allows it to be mounted on a handle to use the transmitter's built-in omnidirectional mic as a handheld mic.

Q: 5. I would buy this product if it didn't have the logo. Kind of narcissistic, Rode! Anyone know of a similar (perfectly?) sized wind screen to replace the RODE one?

A: Unfortunately this foam wind-screen is custom shaped inside for the unique contours of the Wireless Go plus this adapter. We do not offer another universal type of windscreen that will fit reliably. We do understand your comment regarding the Rode branding. Rode take heed!

Q: 6. Is there a rack mount kit for two of these half units?

A: There is no rackmount kit available for 2 units of the Electro-Voice RE3-ND76 Wireless Handheld Microphone System with ND76 Wireless Mic (5L: 488 to 524 MHz); however, the 2 receivers can be attached to any 1U rack shelf.

Q: 7. Does anyone have a mic flag recommendation for this adapter?

A: B&H # AUPMFSB is a good option for a mic flag.

Q: 8. any replacement winscreen ?

A: No, there is no direct replacement windscreen available at this time for the Rode Interview GO Handheld Mic Adapter. The original foam windscreen is a custom size with a rectangular-shaped interior to fit over the transmitter and edge of the handle. The closest foam windscreen size would be a 1-5/8" round foam windscreen which you would need to customize yourself to make it fit. You might be able to customize something like the WindTech 900 Series Windscreen 1-5/8" Inside Diameter (B&H # WI900B), but you will need to add more foam to the inside to make it fit. Otherwise, for a direct replacement with the Rode logo, contact Rode and they should be able to help with a replacement. You can reach Rode by phone at 562-364-7400. Their US offices are based in California.

Q: 9. Could this work with DJI Mic Wireless Microphone Kit?

A: The Rode Interview GO Handheld Mic Adapter for the Wireless GO is designed to accommodate the specific form factor of the Rode Wireless GO transmitters and would not marry to the DJI Mic wireless transmitters in the same manner.

Q: 10. Does anyone have a solution for this windscreen to keep in from falling off?

A: Add thin strips of velcro on the inside.
