The strap is both comfortable and handy to keep one's hands and arms free, when carrying the loaded case. However, it's not included with the case and must be purchased separately. 5

The strap is installed in my Pelican1490 case housing a macbook pro. The instructions coming with the strap are great... however the 1490 comes with waterproof rubber grommets inserted where the strap holes are on the side of the case. They are very snug and not very visible at first. You must push them out from the inside of the case with a screwdriver to remove each one out to clear the hole to be able to attach the waterproof strap hooking device. The instructions to do all this are absent with the case and with the strap. It's left up up to you to figure this out...Nevertheless, it's easy, and fast, installing the strap. 5
