With a heat-resistant construction and 34" diameter, the Para 88HR Reflector F Kit from Broncolor allows users to produce precise, efficient lighting using tungsten fixtures up to 2000W. The reflector's parabolic shape and silver interior yield very high light efficiency, wrapping the subject in brilliant light which emphasizes detail and due to the calculated parabolic form of the reflector, light fall-off only occurs at the Para's extreme edge. This kit features a focusing tube for use with Broncolor's adapter system, enabling use with a wide range of lights. Additionally, it comes with a rolling travel bag. This system's focusing tube can also be swapped out for an FT tube for use with the FT lighting system.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Using #MA297BBASE + #MA142CS will be safe enough to move around a Para 133 kit with an Einstein attached to the Focusing Tube?

A: The Matthews Junior Steel stand BH #MALSJTR has a footprint of 56" and would be more suitable for use with a Broncolor Para 133 Reflector Kit with Focusing Tube BH #BRP133RK.

Q: 2. Can you confirm that HR version is identical to non HR version but with higher heat resistance? I want use this for both still and video and I dont want make mistake. Thanks.

A: The HR version and non-HR version offer the same assembly method, though the use of high-heat materials allows for the 'focused' position of the lamp to be slightly brighter than the non-HR Para. If the intended use is both strobe and continuous lights, the HR version is recommended.

Q: 3. Are Elinchrom adapter mounts available..?

A: At this time we recommend using the Universal Para adapter with elinchrom lights.

Q: 4. Does this kit come with the tilt head and focusing system as well, or just the tube?

A: Yes, it does come with the focusing system, tilt head and F focusing tube. The only thing that is not included is the lamp adaptor for your particular flash system.

Q: 5. I saw that the description says that comes with the focusing device, but what is the focusing device that we are talking about? is that one that goes with the flash or the hmi or is can be use with both system?

A: The Focusing Device refers to the component that mounts to the rear of the Para reflector and supports the focus rod. This part supports both Focusing Rod FT133 (for HMI/Tungsten) and Focusing Rod F133 (Strobe / other adapters).

Q: 6. Is there an adaptor available to use this para with Profoto strobes?

A: There is an adapter for Profoto heads called the Bron Kobold Profoto Head Adapter for Para 88, 133, 177, 222. Please see the link below for reference.

Q: 7. If I have Profoto B1 and B2 lights, can this reflector or the Para 133 be adapted? or does getting it with the rod supply all the light but then what about a power source, Do I need a power pack?

A: Yes, all four sizes of Paras can be adapted to Profoto, using the Para adapter for Profoto, B&H #BRPAP88FB, Manufacturer #B-33.489.03. The adapter attaches to the end of the included focusing rod and allows for a Profoto head to be attached like a reflector or softbox would.Your existing Profoto lights can be used, however we strongly advise using a light with a fully exposed flash tube or dome to ensure optimal light quality from the Paras.

Q: 8. Does anyone have recommendations as to which stand to use this with? I'm thinking the wheeled either Matthews Senior double riser #H386027 or the junior triple riser #H386033 but can't decide so great to get any insights into this

A: Though not a specific recommendation, you do want meet the minimum weight capacity of the combined Para (approx 30 lbs.) plus the lamp you will be using. With Para 222 specifically, many of our users remark that wind-up or crank-driven riser is much more convenient given the weight of the combined setup as well.

Q: 9. Is this compatible with the Broncolor pulse

A: Yes, this can be used with the broncolor Pulso lamps and any other broncolor-bayonet flash lamps via adapter broncolor Para adapter for broncolor (B&H # BRAPP88FS / MFR # B-33.489.00), sold separately.

Q: 10. Is this compatible with Siros 800 S?

A: For use with the Siros 800S, we recommend the 133 Reflector Kit (BH #BRP133RK ) along with the coinciding broncolor Para adapter (BH #BRAPP88FS). The FT-designated reflector kits are designed to work primarily with broncolor's HMI and Tungsten FT lamp systems.
