With a heat-resistant construction and 87" diameter, the Para 222 Reflector F Kit from Broncolor allows users to produce precise, efficient lighting using tungsten fixtures up to 2000W. The reflector's parabolic shape and silver interior yield very high light efficiency, wrapping the subject in brilliant light which emphasizes detail and due to the calculated parabolic form of the reflector, light fall-off only occurs at the Para's extreme edge. This kit features a focusing tube for use with Broncolor's adapter system, enabling use with a wide range of lights. Additionally, it comes with a rolling travel bag. This system's focusing tube can also be swapped out for an FT tube for use with the FT lighting system.

Q: 1. What adapter do I need to use this Para with Siros?

A: You need this adapter to use the Siros Monolight, Broncolor Pulso Head Adapter for Para 88 FB, B&H # BRAPP88FS MFR # B-33.489.00.Note you need to take the dome off of the Siros to use it with this adapter and Para 133.

A: At this time we recommend using the Universal Para adapter with elinchrom lights.

Q: 3. I ordered this para 88 kit from our local provider. And now I want the 133 but don't have the budget. Can I buy only the 133 reflector (I know there is a separate reflector for the 88 B-33.482.00) and adapt the focusing tube from the 88?

A: The Para 133 reflector is not available standalone, it can only be purchased with the focusing device and focusing tube F or FT

Q: 4. Under the Broncolor system catalogue, the 133 is listed as 3200 J rsp. 800 W HMI for allowed max energy. Does this mean the non-HR version can be used with up to 800w HMI continuous light, and the HR can be 1600w continuous?

A: Yes, the Para 133 non-HR can be used with HMI lamps up to 800W, the HR version is safe for HMI lamps up to 1600W and tungsten lamps up to 2,000W.

Q: 5. What is the difference between broncolor para HR, para FT and without Letter?

A: The HR designation notes heat resistant for continuous lights up to 2,000W. This includes Paras 88HR and 133HR. Paras 177 and 222 are also rated up to 2,000W.Paras 88 and 133 (non-HR) are only rated up to 650W continuous.Para F Kits include the focusing rod F, compatible with broncolor's adapter system to fit most strobe and HMI lamps.FT kits include the FT focusing rod with integrated electronics for broncolor's HMI and Tungsten FT lamp systems (sold separately).

Q: 6. Is it possible to get an adaptor to use Bowens mount flash heads?

A: While not a direct Bowens attachment, the Broncolor Para Universal Adapter, BH # BRB3348906 would allow you to mount your light via the stand mount to the Para 222. https://bhpho.to/3hXpNIF

Q: 7. Is there a way to use this with Flashpoint Monolights or Bowens mount using the bayonet so I can fire the flash facing into the umbrella?

Q: 8. is this with the light?or Do I have to but the light separately?

A: The Broncolor PARA 222 P Reflector Kit with Pulso Flash Adapter does not include a light fixture. It must be purchased separately. However, it does include the Pulso Flash Adapter which would allow you to connect Broncolor Pulso mount heads to the Para 222P Reflector Kit.

Q: 9. Does the Para 177 F Kit include a tilting mount for a lightstand? I know people have mentioned there is a separate mount to buy.

A: A standard swivel mount to Junior Receiver-type stands is included with the Para 177 F-kit. Optionally available is a geared / crank stand adapter that is recommended when using heavier lamps with the Para.

Q: 10. Does anyone have recommendations as to which stand to use this with? I'm thinking the wheeled either Matthews Senior double riser #H386027 or the junior triple riser #H386033 but can't decide so great to get any insights into this

A: Though not a specific recommendation, you do want meet the minimum weight capacity of the combined Para (approx 30 lbs.) plus the lamp you will be using. With Para 222 specifically, many of our users remark that wind-up or crank-driven riser is much more convenient given the weight of the combined setup as well.
