The microKEY-37 AIR from Korg is a slim MIDI controller with a pitch wheel, a modulation wheel, and a set of 37 velocity-sensitive Natural Touch mini-keys. If you wish, you can bus-power this unit via the USB port, but the microKEY Air also features Bluetooth capabilities, allowing you to connect wirelessly to Mac and iOS devices. Hooked up in such a fashion, the keyboard can last up to 30 hours on two AA batteries (alkaline are recommended).

An assignable switch jack allows you to plug in a sustain pedal, while two octave-shift buttons allow you to change the range of this three-octave unit. You can make edits to MIDI parameters using the Korg KONTROL Editor software, which is available for free download on the Korg website. This can be useful in customizing the microKEY Air to your specific sensibilities, such as adapting the instrument's velocity curve to your individual touch.

The controller also includes five virtual instruments (Korg Legacy Collection, UVI Digital Synsations, AAS Ultra Analog Session, AAS Strum Session, and AAS Lounge Lizard Session), as well as two apps (Korg Module Le for iPhone and KORG Module Le for iPad). Finally, purchasing the Korg microKEY Air will allow you to download a limited version of Propellerhead's Reason.

A: The knobs are absolute only.

Q: 2. Do the knobs stop or can they rotate continuously?

A: The knobs on the Korg nanoKONTROL Studio Mobile MIDI Controller have a defined value of 0-127 MIDI Control Change, they do not endlessly rotate.

Q: 3. Should I go for this or arturia minilab Does they have the same features

A: If you are seeking a MIDI keyboard to pair with FL Studio, the Novation FLkey 37 USB MIDI Keyboard Controller for FL Studio is a top recommendation, as it has a feature set designed to integrate seamlessly with FL Studio's interface. For general comparison, the FLkey 37 has more keys and pads than the Minilab, but the Minilab has more rotary encoders. The FLkey has wheels for Pitch and Modulation functionality where the Minilab has touch sensors.

A: The unit is compatible with any software that supports MIDI input. This would include ProTools software.

Q: 9. The description says it supports Mac, Win and iOs, but the Bluetooth connectivity mentions only Mac and iOs. Won't it work wirelessly with Windows?

A: Yes, the Korg microKEY AIR-49 is now compatible for MIDI to work wirelessly with a PC that is equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 and Windows 8.1 or later or with a USB adapter that supports Bluetooth 4.0 Smart.
