Protect your valuable gear and pamper your fingers with this Realtree AP Snow Lens Cover for the Nikon AF-S 300mm f/4E PF ED VR from LensCoat. Providing waterproof protection and safeguarding your lens against scratches and bumps, it can help preserve the resale value.  Its 100% closed-cell Neoprene fabric provides a thermal barrier to keep your hands warm in cold conditions. Another benefit of this covering is it helps break up the shape of your lens, disguising it to wildlife.

The LensCoat is easy to install and remove, sliding on like a sleeve and leaving no residue on the lens. Clear, flexible PVC windows allow you to view the AF switch and distance controls. A small hole lines up with the camera's mount indicator to make quick work of aligning your lens with the mount. Manufactured in the USA, this item comes with three additional pieces, designed for using your lens with a tripod collar.

Q: 7. FTZII manual states not carry Z8 with only shoulder strap support if lens1300grams-Is lens+TC14E+FTZ ok on shoulder strap?

A: It is best not to use a shoulder strap with the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/4E PF ED VR Lens and attached to the FTZ adapter and a teleconverter. Best is to get either one of these, https://bhpho.to/448IlKO . And use a strap attached to that like,https://bhpho.to/43NtXYL .

Q: 8. Most of the reviews I have read are with a full frame camera (e.g. D610). Will it work with my D7100, and with the TCE14 ll?

A: Yes, thats the body I use, also with the TCE14 II is very sharp.

Q: 9. I have the 300 f4D; planning on getting this 300f4E tonight... will the Teleconverter TC-20E111 work correctly? Anyone have preferences between the 810; 610; or 7100 with this lens? Other than FX and DX size?

A: I'm sure the TC will work fine. I have the 750 and the TC1.4 and just got back from Costa Rica. My pics with this combo are tack sharp and was usually using ISO 1600-3200 in the dark jungle. My main question back to you would be using a TC 20 you might see some image degradation. For reach you might be better off with a D7100 and a lower level TC

Q: 10. I've found that with my D500, I've had to dial in a +7 or +8 to achieve fine focus. With the 1.4TC, I need +10. But with those adjustments, the lens focuses very sharp and fast. Anyone else experiment with the new cameras fine focus adjustments with this lens?

A: I have played with them in a few models. It's very helpful! I would say since you do have to make that much of an adjustment to get sharp results with that lens you may want to get the lens looked at.
