Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what is batter life and how long does it take to recharge?

A: The XP106 has an internal, rechargeable battery capable of up to 20 hours of continuous audio on a full charge. Even though the system may have some charge when first taken out of the box, we recommend fully charging your XP106 before first using the system. An overnight charge as with a cell phone should be fine. FYI, The XP106 utilizes a sealed lead-acid gel cell battery. When not in use, the battery will slowly self-discharge. If you are planning not to use the XP106 for a long period of time, it is advised to fully charge the unit before storing. It is also important to charge the unit every six months when not used. This will ensure a healthy battery and extend its life. If the battery is left with a very low charge for an extended period of time, it is possible to recharge thebattery to working condition, but the charge time can take over 24 hours.

Q: 2. What is the range of the wireless headset mic?

A: Approximately 100' line of sight.

Q: 3. HOW HEAVY IS THIS UNIT?

A: Absolutely. You may consider the Samson LS40 (B&H# SALS40) portable speaker stand as an option to do so.

Q: 5. can the system handle 2 wireless microphones?

A: Currently you cannot use two of the supplied XPD1 USB wireless systems simultaneously. You can however connect another standard wireless system to one of the additional inputs to use two wireless at one time.

Q: 6. I am planning on buying 2 of these systems, is there a chance of cross-talk between them with having fixed frequencies?

A: This system can operate up to two wireless systems simultaneously in the same area. Since this kit already includes two wireless systems (A handheld and a lavalier), adding a third wireless, will NOT be possible.

Q: 7. Has anyone used this amp for busking ? Does it crack or buzz at high level ? Im singing while playing the guitar with percussion looping ...

A: have NO idea what busking is.

Q: 8. Is it possible to wall mount this speaker?

Q: 10. Can a bluetooth device beyond the headset connect to the speaker? For example, could it be connected to a bluetooth headphone set so that a student who is hard of hearing could have the sound directly into their ear while it was also broadcast over the speakers?

A: The Samson Expedition XP106wDE can play audio from Bluetooth devices, but it cannot send audio over Bluetooth to devices such as headphones. The included wireless microphone does not use Bluetooth, but rather a 2.4 GHz digital wireless connection similar to WiFi.

I use this to give powerpoint presentations to groups of 100 or fewer. The headset microphone is great. If you take the windscreen foam off, it's almost invisible. There is a wire which you can run inside your shirt from the mic to a transmitter on your belt. There is a bluetooth receiver that plugs into the amp with a range is 30 or so feet. Using this set-up, paired with my logitech remote to advance the slides, I am free to walk around on the stage. It's all I had hoped for. P.S. it is very portable. It doesn't have a treble-bass adjustment.

I had a Behringer 100W system, but I needed to replace it. I chose the XP106 for all the features and reviews. The wireless headset is amazing, and it also came with a wired mic. I have other accessories as well and they all work great. I also take advantage of the bluetooth to play music. I use it several times a week in Assisted Living facilities with about 35 people in a big dining room area. I definitely recommend it.

I run a music booking agency and am often asked to put a small PA on a beach, in a forest, just about anywhere. Many times an extension cord is not an option. This system has plenty of power to amplify vocals enough for the wedding ceremony, is easy to setup, and lasts for hours.

I am a yoga instructor and having to up my audio game during the pandemic was a must! I originally purchased this for outdoor teaching but due to it being on back order, I didn't receive it until Dec. I am able to use the mic for zoom classes from home on my PC laptop & just purchased the Apple lightning to USB camera adapter so I can use it at the studio with their iPad (because if you only use the other Apple adapter, your device's battery will lose it's charge fast while in use- a helpful tip from another B&H rep). The audio quality is exceptionally better than Airpods and Beats, your students will agree! I didn't intend on buying the whole system but I'm glad I did; I would have spent the same amt of money (or more) if I purchased them separately. The only con of this purchase is that the mic headset will take some adjusting to fit your head securely. It has a slide adjustment feature but I needed it to contour my head better as well. DO NOT bend the mic wire; the headband wire IS bendable but difficult to do, so just be patient and gentle. I had some wonderful help via video chat with a B&H rep who guided me in doing this. Thank you for that, it was SO helpful! Definitely recommend this affordable system!
