The Micro Boompole Pro from RODE is an ultra-lightweight modular boompole that extends to 7' and allows location sound engineers to capture audio in confined or difficult spaces. The pole has been optimized for use with the VideoMicro microphone (sold separately) and using a standard 3/8"-16 thread, these sections can also be used to extend the Boompole Pro to reach over 12' in length.

A: The Rode Micro Boom Pole does not come with a cable. Yes you can attach your Rode Video Mic Pro to the the Micro Boom Pole. Turn the mic upside down and look at the bottom of the shoe there will be a 3/8 threaded hole in the bottom. On the end of the boom pole is a 3/8 threaded stud. Just screw the Rode mic onto the end of the boom pole.

A: The poles have a 3/8 female at end, so I bought a Impact Swivel Umbrella Adapter # IMCA108 , it screws right into bottom of boom pole, I then attach to light stand, and add some weight to counter the boom pole. Works great for me. I do a lot of interview videos and find this works great. (typically only use two of the poles.)

A: Hello King, I would say in most applications it would be. As you add the sections it would eventually bend far too much. I would recommend the Rode Mini Boompole, Boompole, or Boompole Pro.

Q: 10. Does this work with the shoe mount included with the Azden SGM-250?

A: The shock mount on the Azden is open so its possible it could fall from the boom pole. I would prefer a more secure shock mount. Like the B&H # AUDUSM1.
