The 45° angled-viewing TrailSeeker 100 22-67x100 Spotting Scope by Celestron features a versatile 22-67x zoom eyepiece to provide views from generous vistas at the lower power to tight, detailed images at the higher end. The 100mm objective lens possesses light-gathering capability superior to that of scopes with smaller lenses, which makes for a bright image and enhances the scope's capabilities in low-light conditions. Proprietary anti-reflection XLT fully multi-coated optics allow for efficient light transmission through the optical path for crisp, high-contrast views.
The angled eyepiece permits comfortable glassing whether standing, sitting or lying flat on the ground. Dual focus offers precise image control by allowing a preliminary coarse focus, which you can then refine using the fine-focus control for a tack-sharp view. You can rotate the scope a full 360° for easy viewing through the eyepiece from any position. The TrailSeeker 100 has a nitrogen-filled waterproof housing that won't fog up in humid conditions and features a sliding sunshade to keep glare or raindrops off the objective lens. To facilitate digiscoping, a T-adapter is included so you can mount a T-ring compatible with your DSLR to the eyepiece. For adverse weather conditions, a stay-on carrying case is included that can be left on the scope during use—zippers fore and aft open for the objective lens and the eyepiece.
The TrailSeeker is designed to use standard 1.25" astronomical eyepieces, so in addition to the included zoom eyepiece, you can use other eyepieces on your spotting scope to achieve higher magnifications, wider fields of view, etc. A tripod balance plate is also included.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Is the front threaded for a filter? What mm size if it is ? Thanks
A: No, the front objective housing is not threaded for a filter.
Q: 2. Can this scope be used comfortably on a monopod?
A: The Celestron Regal M2 100ED Spotting Scope with 22-67x Eyepiece (Angled Viewing) will work with any monopod/tripod. The image may be a bit shaky as a monopod is not completely steady but it can be done.
Q: 3. What is the type of integrated tripod plate? (I.e. what head is compatible with integrated tripod mount without extra plate?
A: I don't know what the mount is called but the unit fits ideally with my Manfrotto tri pod with a Manfrotto 498RC2 head. The quick release works no worries.Regards Greg
Q: 4. the Tripod Mounting Thread on this scope is too small for the screws on either one of my tripods (Gitzo and RRS). What's the best solution? I'm not going to buy another tripod.
A: This scope ha a universal screw hole of 1/4"-20 which most tripod heads have. Tripod legs or columns have a 3/8"-16 stud to mount a tripod head. If you need a 3/8" to 1/4" adapter, Desmond DTR-1 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Tripod Thread Reducer BH #DEDTR1 • MFR #DTR-1 Desmond DTR-1 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Tripod Thread Reducer BH #DEDTR1 • MFR #DTR-1
Q: 5. Is this the STRAIGHT spotting scope or the trailseeker phone adapter..?!
A: This model is the Straight Model Spotting Scope. Not the Phone Adapter. My apologies for the confusion. I will alert my Web Team to update this photo. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Q: 6. I have a Gimbel head for my tripod that I use with my camera. Will this head work for the Regal M2?
A: The Celestron Regal M2 100ED Spotting Scope with 22-67x Eyepiece (Angled Viewing), BH # CERM2100EDSS, should work with most gimbal heads that feature a standard 1/4"-20 threaded male stud and can accommodate a payload of at least 7 lbs.
Q: 7. Is this a better option than the 80 for birding?
A: Yes, the larger the diameter, the more light gathering for low light situations.
Q: 8. How is this scope for bird watching. Should I be looking at anything else in this price range?
A: This is a great value for a premium spotting scope but due to the weight of this 100mm (even with the magnesium body), you'll probably only be using it in locations where you can take it out of your car and bird near your car, or for short hikes. You'll need pipe insulation around your tripod too for cushioning to your shoulder when carrying it. As one who works in astronomy, I recommend inexpensive Astro-Tech ED planetary eyepieces (Paradigm Dual ED), or Televue (much more expensive) as superior to the zoom eyepiece supplied. Note that Celestron does have some quality control issues, but are great at replacing defective gear.
Q: 9. What Tripods does this scope fit into?
A: The scope has a Tripod Mounting Thread 1/4"-20 which is a universal thread size on most consumer tripods My recommendation for a spotting scope is a tripod with a pan/tilt head
Q: 10. What comes in the box ?
A: Included In the Box would be the following Celestron TrailSeeker 100 22-67x100 Spotting Scope (Straight Viewing) Tripod Balance Plate T-adapter Step Ring Stay-On Carrying Bag with Shoulder Strap Objective Lens Cap, Eyepiece Mount Cap & Eyepiece Cover Limited Lifetime Warranty
