It provides a double weight fiber base, and this variable contrast paper with a matte surface can be developed in standard black and white chemicals. This paper is compatible with Kodak, Varycon, and Ilford filters, and the use of yellow and magenta colored filters permits selection of the desired contrast from a range of grades similar to that of graded papers. Additionally, the fine grain, matte surface has a slightly textured, flat, non-reflective surface for hand coloring with oil-based paints.
