The 2 x 2" Graduated Sunset 1 Filter from Tiffen is an exciting filter. It enhances reality, adding a touch of subtlety or drama to the image. When you can't get to the southwest for that awesome sunset, this filter will come in handy. Your friends will think you were on assignment for a travel magazine.

Sometimes it is also desirable to add color to part of the photograph. For example, to add an orange/yellow tint to bump up the effect and punch of the sky. Tiffen Color Graduated filters are half-color, half-clear, with a graduated transition for blending into the scene. Tiffen Graduated Sunset filters are available in grades from 1-3, with 3 having the greatest effect.

The Graduated Sunset 1 filter will provide a multi-layered sunset effect with a red sky blending down into orange and then yellow, with the bottom of the filter clear. Dramatic sunset effects can be created even using the lightest version of this filter.

Q: 1. I bought the Zeiss Mills 35mm F/2 for use on my Nikon D850. However, I can't adjust my aperture or speed or ISO. What's wrong?

A: To use the ZEISS Milvus 35mm f/2 ZF.2 Lens for Nikon F on a D850, you will need to set the aperture to f/22 on the lens. Then, you may adjust the camera.

Q: 2. When is the lens going to be available?

A: The Milvus 2/135 ZE will begin shipping in November .

Q: 3. Aperture

A: The ZEISS Milvus 35mm f/2 ZE Lens for Canon EF has an aperture range of f/2 - f/22.

Q: 4. Is this lens made in Germany?

A: The Zeiss Milvus 35mm f/2 ZE lens is made in Japan.

Q: 5. Can I use a wall charger for a Samsung Galaxy s7 to charge the fenix uc35 and how long will it take for a complete charge?

A: I wanna say it took me about a hour to charge it with the I phone cube and about the same with my friends Samsung cube as well but the th charge lasts me a good 2 months and I use it everyday at work

Q: 6. Can I use this Canon 135mm lens on my Sony a7rii body ? What is the best lens adapter/converter to use with it,, that will relay info and not degrade picture quality?

A: The ZEISS Milvus ZE lenses were designed for cameras using the EF mount. The lens can be adapted to cameras with a shorter flange focal distance via 3rd party adapters. These do nothing more than position the lens to the proper distance from the sensor so the lens focuses at infinity. There is no degradation in image quality when using adapters of this type, since there are no additional optics involved. Since the Milvus ZE lens uses and electronic aperture, you will need a 3rd party adapter that allows control of the aperture via the camera body.

Q: 7. Can I use an apple iPad charger for this flashlight?

A: Yes you can. The iPad charger has a regular usb female connector, which you can plug in the charging cable that comes with the flashlight.

Q: 8. anytime using this for video and feel that it's fine without having built in image stabilization?

A: I think so , for video you should use a tripod or monopod ore a gimbal

Q: 9. Are the lenses Auto Focus? Do they work good on nikonD500 ?

A: Manual focus only, which is a huge mistake in my opinion. I understand that Nikon and canon both were not open with Zeiss on their auto focus systems. On the other hand, the glass is some the best I have ever seen on a camera lens. and if you have the time to manual focus the shots you take you will not be disappointed. Unfortunately, I don't see many folks getting these lenses because of just that issue alone. especially with all the latest mirrorless camera bodies that have hit the market recently. The auto focus system is the only reason I personally upgraded to a z8 and I think it is fantastic.

Q: 10. How many aperture blades, and are they curved?

A: The ZEISS Milvus lenses; like their Zeiss Classic predecessors, have 9 aperture blades.

Great filter in a very good case. I bought a set of stack caps to protect the ND filter and it slips right into the pouch...good fit. Excellent quality and a great price. It really works well for landscape photography. Highly recommended.

Works great for scenic images involving high contrast lighting conditions, particularly during sunrise and sunset. Construction quality is excellent.

I've used this filter on a recent trip to the Baltic coast in Poland. I was able to take nice pics on a bright, sunny day - in the middle of the day. I was afraid at first that the transition from the darker to the lighter part of the filter would be visible in my pictures. Happily, with the right composition, the transition nicely blended into the scenery.

High-quality filter and worth the price. It's a must-have if you're shooting landscapes or to blur out waterfalls or ripples.

Nice quality filter. The 0.6 seems just about right, but I'd like to compare it to a 0.9 to see if that would be too much. Waiting for the snow to melt here, as it's a bit pointless to use when both the sky and the ground are equally bright. The transition seems just a bit too soft - would like a bit more hardness to it, or would like to see the shaded area have more density closer to the transition, rather than fade in over that half of the glass. The coating is nice, really cuts glare, but is very easy to smudge. It's a bit of a pain to clean especially with those Zeiss pre-moistened lens cloths - seems they just make endless streaks.

This filter is great for landscape photography when the sky is getting over exposed and the foreground is exposed correctly. The disadvantage of a screw on filter like this one vs a slide in filter and holder is that the horizon must be centered in the middle of the picture which will limit how you can compose your shot.

Have used the square filters and they give the desired effect and once you have the mount on your lens they are fine. Sometimes you can just hold them in front of the lens without a holder but not as easy with the Tulip type hoods. As I am equipped with the normal complement of hands,(2)to me it is more efficient to allow me to hold, focus and shoot. A fringe benefit is that the frame is silver in color so if you forget which lens you had it on last it's a quick check to find it.

Would prefer a 3-stop version, but didn't notice any color change, and the gradation of the filter works fine for me. Using this with a 77-to-72mm step-down adapter.
