The Tiffen 2 x 2" 3 Green Soft-Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add a bright green coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 3 color density provides less green coloration than the 4 density, but more than the 2 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 2 x 2" / 50.8 x 50.8mm.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this fit the Cokin P series holder?

A: Yes

Q: 2. Can you use this filter on top of a Circular Polarizer?

A: yes, you can. I always do

Q: 3. Does this nd grad come in a soft cloth sleeve like the sets do?

A: This ND filter comes in a cordura protective pouch which is soft sided.

Q: 4. Will this work in the ASUS Republic of Gamers Crosshair VIII Hero (Wi-Fi) AM4 ATX Motherboard?

A: According to the compatible list of motherboards, X570 is not a compatible motherboard. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Q: 5. How wide a lens can you use this on without vignetting? I have a Canon 16-35 f/4 - will the filter work with the lens set at 16mm (on full frame body)? Thanks.

A: You should be fine with this filter, if you were to go to a wider focal length there will be vignetting issues.

Q: 6. Are the Cpkin filters in the p series 100 x 150?

A: No, they are not. The above filter, which is designed for the Cokin P-series filter holder, measures 3.3 x 3.9 (84.0 x 100.0 mm) in size. A filter measuring 100mm x 150mm in size would be too large to fit in a Cokin P-series filter holder.

Q: 7. Whats the benefits of this over the non digital version for half the price? I notice the coating and titanium ring but my question is more about image/color quality.

A: This filter uses optical quality glass, is uncoated and uses an aluminum filter ring. The Digital HT version uses Water White (highest quality) glass, is multi-coated and uses a titanium coated ring. The mulit-coating makes the glass more scratch resistant, easier to clean and less chance of reflections. The HT filters meet or exceed military specifications as well. The difference in image color/quality will be tough to see when comparing the two, the difference is more in construction quality.

Q: 8. Does this filter have any tags or other properties that allow you to align the gradient axis precisely with the camera axis?

A: No, the Tiffen 72mm Graduated Neutral Density Attenuator/Blender 1.2 Filter (4-Stop) does not have tags or any markings indicating the gradient axis.

Q: 9. Is there a 1.2 ND model of this filter?

A: Tiffen does not have a four-stop (1.2) Digital HT Filter version of the Tiffen Graduated ND Digital HT Filter in 72mm. The only four-stop (1.2) 72mm circular graduated neutral density filter we carry from Tiffen would be the Tiffen 72mm Graduated Neutral Density Attenuator/Blender 1.2 Filter (4-Stop), B&H # TIABND1.272.

Q: 10. Do the Tiffen 4x4 filters use a Cokin filter holder? or what brand / size would be needed / recommended? I have a 72mm lens(18-200). I'm looking to purchase a grad-ND.6. Thank-you for your time,Janice

A: Yes, this particular Tiffen Graduated 0.9 ND filter is designed for use with the Cokin P filter holder, which you can purchase with a 72mm adapter ring included: http://bhpho.to/Uscl1gFor a 0.6 graduated ND filter, take a look at the Formatt Hitech 85mm Graduated ND 0.6 Soft Edge for Cokin P: http://bhpho.to/1xc1CV6
