The +10db Equaliser from Boz Digital is a plug-in modeled after the EQ section of the ADR F769X-R Vocal Stresser. The original hardware used a different approach to the standard series-configuration EQ by employing a parallel configuration, which can make for some interesting effects, especially for bands that are close together. The result is that more extreme boost and cut settings can be used without the resulting signal becoming harsh.

To preserve the spectral integrity of the original analog filters, the company did not utilize any digital pre-warping. Instead, each filter has a symmetric frequency response all the way up to the Nyquist frequency, delivery a natural and musical response in the high frequencies.

Q: 1. Will this work with an Advanced GT, maybe with a firmware change?

A: Yes, the NexStar+ EQ Hand Control is compatible with the older Advanced GT mount.

Q: 2. is this control will work with nexstar 60 SLT

A: for their Advanced VX, CGEM, CGEM II, CGEM DX, CGX, and CGE Pro motorized and computer-controlled equatorial telescope mounts ONLY

Q: 3. Is it possible to run up to 6 pairs(that is 6 transmitters linked to its corresponding receivers) at the same time.

A: Yes, up to 8 Sennheiser AVX EKP Camera-Mount Digital Plug-In Receivers and their corresponding transmitters can be used simultaneously within the 98' operating range.

Q: 4. Would it be possible to in any manner whatsoever to use the SLXD3 with the ULXD or QLXD wireless systems from Shure?

A: The Shure SLXD3 Digital Plug-On XLR Transmitter is unfortunately not compatible with ULXD or QLXD systems. ULXD and QLXD systems do have (limited) cross-compatibility, but SLXD systems are only compatible with SLXD components.

Q: 5. will this controller work wit celestron nexstar 8 se?

Q: 7. Can this be charged/powered by a regulated Dtap to microUSB cable (5v) like this one? GyroVu D-Tap to Micro-USB Regulated Adapter Cable (30")

A: Yes, that particular Dtap cable should work for charging the BA20 battery.

Q: 8. What firmware version number does this controller have?

A: It depends on the time when the hand control was issued. For more information, contact Celestron Technical Support at: mail@celestronsupport.com to find out the latest firmware release. Sincerely, Garrett at Celestron

Q: 9. will this one will work with nexstar 60SLT ?

A: No, the Celestron NexStar+ EQ Hand Controller is only for EQ mounts, and can only be used with the Celestron NexStar 60 SLT 2.4"/60mm Refractor Telescope Kit if one flashes the firmware for the AZ mounts. A better option is to get the Celestron NexStar+ AZ Hand Controller, BH #CENSHCUA (https://bhpho.to/3K5P93F).

I have been looking for years for a solution to do astronomical photos. Being a professional photographer and owning a lot of zoom lens, I have been looking for a tracker. I did not want to invest into a telescope because of the price and found this device.
For sure, it takes a bit of time to set it up and calibrate + if you have a heavy lens (I use it with the massive Nikon 200mm - F/2 + Nikon D850, you need to find another counterweight for it to remain stable. I have been able to get amazing shots of the magellan clouds, Orion and else which would have been impossible without this device.

Still putting this accessory through its paces. So far I have taken several 210 second shots, on various dates, with a 28mm lens and have achieved 3 to 4 pixel star dots, consecutively. That makes me happy. I'm learning about ISO invariant sensors so the tracker enables me to shoot at ISO 800 and stack multiples to reduce noise. Just be aware that now you can stop the stars, your horizon and foreground are moving. The unit is for the most part very sturdy and when tightened down, you can place or remove your camera, adjust your ballhead without disturbing the polar tracking. My only complaint is the latitude adjustment knobs and gear teeth don't tighten like the rest of the unit. I have to almost wrench' them down before it becomes stable. Since I have only used short lenses, I have not used the enclosed counter balance accessory yet. I don't think the lower cost units would be as sturdy. Overall, I would buy again.

I'm still gaining experience in the polar aligning but it gets easier each time. The unit itself works great. I have yet to use it to track the moon.

This is a very clever and well constructed device. I can’t believe what you can do with it. This is the perfect device to move from photography to astrophotography. I needed an extension to balance my D800 + long ball head. But work’s wonderfully .

I have owned an iOptron SkyTracker for a couple of years, and have had good service from it. The SkyGuider is a major step beyond. It has a metal, rather than plastic case, and a much longer bearing span that its predecessor. The weight capacity is over twice as great, and the declination bar and counterweight is actually useable. It can also serve as a camera-only tracker, replacing the DEC bar with a ball head. I have used it with a camera only, and with a 4 Maksutov reflector with a camera (Sony A7Riii) attached, still under the 11.5 lb weight limit and perfectly balanced. The controls are all electronic now, and there is a provision to use an automated tracking device for long (hours) exposures. It uses the same polar azimuth mount, with which it easy to make precise alignment with the North Star.

Used it for the recent lunar eclipse, and it worked great.  It worked great.  The only suggestion that I have is that if you are using Canon 5D Mark IV with a larger lens (like 100-400), you will need the extra counter weight beyond what came in the set.  Tracked the moon perfectly.  It was a little tricky getting used to finding Polaris in the scope, but I figured it out.  I cant wait for the weather to get a little better and use it for some other star shots.

Ill admit to being a bit intimidated by the idea of a sky tracker mount.  I was afraid Id need to learn celestial navigation to use it.

But the recent lunar eclipse was the motivation I needed to push past my concerns and just get it (and the iOptron ball mount - which Id strongly recommend as an add-on - as you WILL need some kind of camera mount).  Im SOOOO glad I did.

The setup was way easier than I thought (an app for my iphone to point to true north and 30 seconds on line to know which latitude to (literally) dial in, and for three hours, I was able to keep the moon in exactly the same place in my viewfinder with a 500 MM lens.  Normally it would have completely tracked from one edge to the other in less than 5 minutes!

To ANYONE shooting astral images, please take my advice and just get this thing!  It is amazing.  As an example of the quality of images you can capture with it, see below for aforementioned lunar eclipse with a 4 second exposure.  (btw, without this tracker, the image would have started to blur at anything over 1/2 a second...)

Im completely satisfied with this product, and, of course, for the outstanding service from B&H.  Both are the best there is!

The first time I used this, it was just to learn how to align it and not really to capture a great image. I didn't have a lot of time so I didn't do any stacking. this image is one, single 9 minute long exposure. the focus is a little off, but the stars are perfect. there is not a single streak to be found. I did not purchase the iPolar electronic polarscope and I am glad that I didn't. I used an app on my phone instead and just aligned according to my phone's location of Polaris. I was really pleased with the image.
