Q: 5. How would this cable work for connecting a preamp to an audio interface, or connecting a Mesa Boogie Cab Clone to an audio interface in a recording studio environment? Would this work or do I need a Balanced patch cable? Thank you.

A: Line inputs on an audio interface are generally balanced connections or able to use both if the input doubles as a guitar/instrument input. It is best to check the specs on both devices being connected for the proper cable. In most cases using an unbalanced instrument cable will not be an issue for connections that require relatively short runs.

Q: 10. Are these cable stiff at first and become more flexible as they are used. or are they flexible right out of the package?

A: These cables use a solid center conductor. That solid conductor is great for reliable transmission and signal integrity, but will make the cables stiffer than ones that use a stranded center conductor. It is not likely that this cable will become more flexible over time.
