A: Unfortunately not. This is designed for Acra-Swiss type plates as opposed to Manfrotto's RC2 quick release system.

A: Unfortunately, this clamp only comes in an end jaw version.

A: When I open mine until it stops the outside edge gap is about 1-3/4 to 1-7/8. The inside measurement where the clamp is the widest is about 2-1/4. For example, if you were to clamp it on a book the thickest book you could clamp would be about 1-3/4 .

Q: 10. Please advise which stud should be used for 5/8 socket to convert to 3/8 male for tripod?

While more expensive clamp it was worth it because it solved an issue I suffered from for many years. Most clamps are designed for standard tripods with thicker legs. The problem is if you use a video tripod that has two thin rods for the first stage, standard clamps won't grip and if tighten more to compensate it can damage the leg. Often a monitor on articulated arm would gradually slip out of position. This clamp has a rubber mechanism that grips small legs better. The only cons is the price and placement of the mounting threads are on the side instead of the back. 5
