Featuring 330 LEDs, the LED-330 On-Camera LED Video Light from Vidpro produces a 180W equivalent, 70° light beam while maintaining a slim, lightweight, and portable design. The light has a daylight-balanced 5600K color temperature and features a stepless dimmer that lets you adjust the light output from 100% down to 10%.

Integrated barn doors allow you to control light spill, limit light leaks from the edges, and provide directionality to your light. For power, the LED-300 accepts a single Sony L-series (NP-F) type battery, and a FP-F550 type battery and charger are included as part of this lighting kit. An AC power supply is also included for continuous power. Also included is a 3200K tungsten color filter, a soft diffuser, and an adjustable shoe-mount.

Q: 1. Suitable for light painting cars?

A: Ummm i guess so. Throws a lot of light and can be a bit blinding in peoples eyes, it is dimable but not enough. For the price and power its great

Q: 2. I've just received this LED light and I charged the battery but it's not working with battery .it's only working with adapter. What is the problem ? the battery or battery connector on the LED ?

A: I have had one similar experience with this and it was my error with not getting the battery seated correctly in the light housing. It is a little different than my other equipment with how this slides in. I have 3 of these and I haven't had any other issues.However, I have full confidence in B&H customer service to make this right if your not able to get it to work! Sorry its being difficult :(

Q: 3. Do the color and dimming settings remain after powering off/on?

A: Yes, since this Vidpro LED-330X light has analog (dial) controls, the unit will return to its current state after power restored.

Q: 4. Its a metal hot shoe or plastic?

A: Yes, the shoe is metal.

Q: 5. ARE THE BARN DOORS REMOVABLE?

A: The barn doors are integrated in to this light. It will not be advisable to attempt to take them off.

Q: 6. What is the CRI of this light?

A: The CRI on this light is listed at 90.

Q: 7. Can I use higher capacity Sony NP-F type batteries like those from Watson? Also, will I be able to charge said Watson brand batteries with the included VidPro charger?

A: if you will use it in a light stand like ido is perfect. But in hand held on camera setting will be heavier.

Q: 8. How bright is it

A: It is great a on camera light. It weighs very little It will light a subject well from 10' or more. The barn doors are well made. It will not light a whole room. If I don't get a perfect white balance I can easily fix it in FCPX or Premiere. I also use tinted white cards if I have time and my WB doesn't look right.

Q: 9. Does anyone had issues with the battery mount in the back? 2 weeks ago I've taking it to do some ENG and for some reason the contact seems to be off and I had to wiggle the battery in the mount. Now, writting those lines the contacts seems OK after wiggleling the battery. I've been using the battery that came with and some Sony NP-F970 batteries for longer shoot. I've also tried this issue with the DC input and it works fine.

Q: 10. About the charger. Does it need 110V or 220V to work? I have 220V here in Greece. And if it's working on 110V, is there a solution to use it on 220V? Thank you.

A: It comes with the European plug adapter and it says it takes 220 or 110. I have only had it a week so I have not gotten to a foreign country yet. I think it will work fine.

Great portable LED with barn doors. Hard to narrow down a beam any more then the barn doors but works pretty good. Nice variation and color temperature control. 5

I am totally happy with this LED light kit. I primarily use it for tabletop photography. It is bright; it has barn doors so I can direct the light where I want it; it has variable color temperature settings so I can match other lights, and it is compact enough so it is easy to place in a tabletop setting. Also, the battery is sufficient for my sessions although many times, I use the AC adaptor. It is just perfect for my needs. One other thing that recently happened makes me even more satisfied with this product. I inadvertently knocked over one of these lights and it fell about 5 feet to the floor. The attachment foot cracked but the light still functions perfectly. I sent a note to the company asking if I could buy a replacement foot. And... to my surprise, they sent a replacement at no charge even though the problem was my fault. I plan on purchasing two more lights based on this experience. 5

I first borrowed 4 of these for a night shoot, I and all the photographers and cinematographers who attended loved the result. Since then Ive picked up 8 of my own, and have used them for three more night shoots since then, one of which was also a larger shoot with about 2 dozen paying photographers and cinematographers present, once again, all of them and my staff were happy with the results. The ability to change the temp of the light as well as intensity is great, and makes them versitile enough for everything I need. They are also small and light enough that it is not a hassle moving and packing them for shoots. 5

Picked up a new light set. Have had two other the same ad this for years, and another more basic light from video. The color balance is a really nice feature on this light at the other more basic lights don't have. Especially if you are feeling more artsy it is nice to sometimes set one light at a different hue and have the background lit more creatively. The barn doors are handy, they can cause for an odd grid effect from all the LEDs when mostly closed though. Nice option either way. Sometimes the knobs for the brightness and color temp are a little glitchy, but not really a problem once you get them set where you want. These are good on tripods separate from the camera as well, in wind the open barn doors can catch the wind and fall over, they also weigh a bit so a sturdier tripod under those conditions is needed. There are more expensive lights that probably work better but considering the places we've dragged these and how often they've fallen over and done bumped around it's kind of nice to not spend a lot of money on them. Recommended to buy an extra battery. The batteries take a LONG time to charge up. This particular version of the lights also allows you to plug them into the wall if you are at home or in a studio which is a great option that the cheaper lights don't give. Great value! 5
