Technical Grammy Award-winning designer David Royer has created a modern tube microphone that features an original NOS 5840 tube, a 251-style capsule, and a custom-designed transformer built by Coast Magnetics. Additionally, the UC4-B was designed for use with a computer and it will work for Zoom video calls with a computer. The mic would probably work for recording audio on the iPhone with the Lightning to USB adapter, though it would drain the phone's battery very quickly because it draws power via USB and more power than the iPhone can supply. iPhones were not designed for use with this type of mic.

A: The Nano was not designed with DSP meant to cancel out noise. While you could connect the headphone output of the mic to your Audio Engine speakers, feedback could be a potential issue. We would recommend using headphones if you are using the Yeti, or perhaps look at a conferencing style speakerphone for noise cancellation such as BH #YAYVC200B.
