A: I can't speak from experience as I have never had the opportunity to try both items together. But I do believe the scope should have no problem holding zero. That's what is was made for.

A: Not sure , my scope is mounted on Remington break barrel and lens is about 1/8 + off the barrel ,do not use lens cover .If cover is a flip-up I would think it would work.
