A: The battery in the APC Back-UPS BN450M is not replaceable.

Q: 3. if I just want to use wired and wireless connectivity with handheld cameras on a job, how far away does that allow?

A: When connecting the Middle Things APC-R Controller wirelessly using Wi-Fi, the distance allowed for connection will be dependent upon the arear that the local router's wireless router/s can cover. For a wired connection you are only limited by the distance of your local network.

Q: 4. Is this adequate for a gaming PC rig?

A: Thank you for your interest in our products. Unfortunately the BN450M is likely too small for a gaming PC. The BN450M would only support 255 watts of equipment connected to it so it will likely become overloaded. I would just confirm how large the power supply is in the PC and make sure the UPS would support the PC. Likely you will need something from our BackUPS Pro line like the BX1000M. Q: 5. can i bring it to travel in an airplane?

A: The APC Back-UPS BN450M is small enough to fit in a large suitcase. However, please check with the airline's restrictions on what can be brought on-board to be completely sure this is allowed. It is possible they may ban large batteries for safety reasons.

Q: 6. Can I use it with Ronin RS3 Pro and Blackmagic Studio Camera 6K Pro?

A: The DJI RS3 Pro as well as the Blackmagic Design Studio Camera 6K Pro are both supported by the Middle Things APC-R Controller. However balancing a Blackmagic Studio 6K Pro camera on a RS3 Pro is not recommended, nor does DJI offically support it. Q: 7. It is interesting that the SPECS do NOT list the voltage nor the Amp Hour rate of this battery. Perhaps by knowing that it is model RBC2 one should KNOW this info but I expect to find such basic details as volts and AMPS of a battery in the SPECS.So, what are those two numbers for this battery??

Q: 9. What secure mounting options does this have, for a Steadicam?

A: Unfortunately, measures for mounting have not been assessed for the Middle Things APC-R Controller, as it is meant to be on a rack shelf or flat surface.

Q: 10. One yellow light on Quatum sc turbo flashes when battery is turned on. What does that mean?

A: The yellow blinking light indicates and confirms that the battery is properly connected to a flash.

Replaced my battery in December 2010 and again in December 2013. That's reliable! My backup battery has saved me during several city power outages since I got my new computer with the ACP backup battery. I'm grateful to not have to worry about power failure any more. 5

Battery arrived fast and well packed, instructions were perfect. The only problem I had was that I couldn't print the return label for the old battery to be recycled using the link in the instructions. I called the APC help line and was emailed a link to a site from which I was able to print a label. The APC help was great. I certainly recommend APC and would buy from them again when i need another UPS or replacement battery. 5

The RBC solved the problem and the unit is back in service. The pictures on APC website helped confirm the correct RBC was ordered. I really liked the return arrangement with Staples. I brought the old battery in to the Customer Service desk, and they knew exactly what to do with it. No questions, no hassle. Thanks! 5

This was the tenth replacement in my old APC Smart UPS 620 (but only the second one from APC) since 2000. Historically, I've gone from one to three years of life before failure, but I'm starting to believe the off-brand, over the counter replacements are the reason for the short life spans. 5

I have been using APC products for more than 10 years. My most recent purchase was a battery replacement for a BACK-UPS 650 that I purchased in November 2000. I had been using the original battery until June 2011 when I purchased the replacement. I am totally satisfied with the product performance and customer service from this company. As to the new battery, it was installed in less than 5 minutes by a neighbor who is well versed in electronics. I might have had a problem with the wiring since the terminals were reversed from the original positioning for this particular unit. 5

I ordered a RBC4 online...got free shipping with a coupon code! The new battery got here quicker than I expected. The product is excellent. So why isn't APC's batting average 1.000? I received two pages of recycling information for the old battery, instead of the prepaid mailing label I expected. I'm not angry, just mildly disappointed. APC's products remain the Gold Standard in the field. 5
