Leveraging powerful DSP, BOSS applies their MDP (Multi-Dimensional Processing) technology to the BC-1X Bass Compressor Pedal for advanced multi-band compression in a standard stompbox. On the outside, the BC-1X features the standard BOSS chassis with an added reflective accenting and a real-time LED gain reduction readout on the control panel. While the adjustment options on this pedal are simple on the surface, with standard Threshold, Ratio, Release, and Level knobs, each control makes many adjustments under the hood.

MDP analyzes playing dynamics and frequency information in real time to provide the best tone for each note played. Many standard compressors provide equal gain reduction for any given frequency, reducing dynamics, and compromising the feel and overall tone of your bass. The BC-1X's MDP provides multi-band compression which dynamically adjusts the amount of gain reduction applied based on frequency and the dynamics of your playing, allowing your tone and feel to be accurately reflected. This also means you can play in any register, and still retain natural tone and expression. Because of the digital processing, there is no residual noise affecting the circuit, and each control adjusts multiple internal compression parameters in order to keep your sound lively and musical. In order to provide the necessary headroom, this pedal runs at 18V internally, although it still accepts 9V batteries and the standard BOSS DC power supply.

The BC-1X can run off of a single 9V battery or an optional external 9V DC power supply (the internal electronics perform a conversion to 18V for greater headroom). The electronics are encased in BOSS's iconic durable metal housing with a non-slip rubber base and the battery compartment can be easily accessed by unscrewing the thumbscrew at the front of the pedal. This pedal utilizes a buffered bypass for silent switching and driving long cable runs even while the pedal is disengaged.

Q: 1. Hello is it possible to fit a 13 macbook pro in there somewhere? Thank you for your help!

A: It might fit in the big outside pocket, but it would not have any protection. It's a non padded pocket. I hate to point you in the wrong direction, but I've had mine less than a year and I'm thinking about selling it and going back to a LowPro bag. The clips are a pain, my 70-200 won't fit in a convenient way, and I dislike all the Velcro on the pockets. I hope this helps.

Q: 2. Does this bag come packed flat to be accomodated in a suitcase?

A: When I travel i put my gear in an airline size hard case with wheels. I pack my Domke bag in my luggage but stuff it with underwear and toiletries. No need to flatten it.

Q: 3. How weather resistant is this bag?

A: is manufactured from cotton canvas that is naturally water-resistant, but which is a 'breathable" fabric so the air in the case stays dry even in humid environments. However, the manufacturer does not list a specific weather rating or IP rating for the case. It should be okay for use in light or moderate rain or snow and in humid conditions.

Q: 4. What is the vertical height available in this bag? I can read the specs, but I can't tell which dimension - width or depth - is the vertical depth that will allow a zoom to be placed in it vertically. B&H: you should make the dimensions clearer.

A: The vertical height is about 7 inches. However, I can get my 70200 F2 .8 in it standing up with some slight protrusion at the top. Hope this helps. Enter an answer to this question.

Q: 5. would an audio gate alone control help in a 4mic clip on mic situation that is very interactive?

A: First of all the gate function is designed to keep the signal muted until a level you choose to open the channel. This would not help the clip at all. If, on the other hand if you were to use the compressor side of the dbx you may be able to adjust the input and output to eliminate the clipping altogether. I would suggest adjusting the output of each channel so each channel will not exceed the headroom on the mixer, then send the combined signal into the dbx and use the compressor to clamp down on the signal a bit. There is training available for this. I am using my 266xs to make a talk show with four funny ladies, who laugh a lot and loudly fit into the available headroom while recording for broadcast. without the compressor the laughing just clips so badly the recordings are not able to be used.

Q: 6. What type of USB data cable do you need to connect to the Zoom B1x Four bass multi effects pedal to a laptop computer with?

A: The Zoom B1X Four Bass Multi-Effects Pedal has a micro-USB port, so you can use a micro-USB to USB Type-A cable like the Pearstone USB 2.0 Type A Male to Micro Type B Male Cable (Black) - 6' (B&H # PECUAMUMBM6Q), If your computer only has USB-C, use a micro-USB to USB-C cable like the Pearstone USB 2.0 Type-C Male to Micro-B Male Cable - 6.6' (B&H # PEUSB3CMIB6).

Q: 7. Hello,Can you connect a microphone to this pedal?

A: The RC-1 Loop Station Pedal is designed for connection of electric guitar, bass, or another instrument such as a keyboard or FX unit via 1/4 jacks. It does not support microphone input.

Q: 8. Lowepro roll aboard

A: this is a shoulder bag , and carry on

Q: 9. what is the input impedance?

A: Unfortunately pedal specs available do not include input impedance. The FV-500H is however specifically designed with a high impedance input for direct connection to guitar or bass. For specific values you may wish to contact the manufacturer directly.

Q: 10. Does the top cover zipper closed or is it just a flap? I work around debris filled environments and like a zipped closure.

A: The Domke F2 bag has a zippered pouch inside the flap. The pouch is nearly the size of the entire flap. The outer canvas of the flap is lined with Cordura-like material. The canvas is relatively water proof since cotton canvas swells when wet. I have probably used up a dozen or so Domke bags over the years—they are very sturdy, but using them to carry heavy video equipment (five-pound batteries, etc.) eventually cuts through the canvas when dragging the bags in and out of trains, planes, and automobiles—ships and submarines too. If you plan to carry the bag on your shoulder all day, the F2 is the largest you should go. The F2 has an outer pocket on each end large enough to hold a Stephen King paperback novel, closed with a velcroed flap. There is an exterior pouch on the back large enough for an iPad Pro. There are two open pockets on the front that have no individual flaps, but that are secured by the top flap when it is clipped shut. Each is just a bit smaller than a typical paperback novel. Inside, a padded board is fit in, covering the bottom. A strip of velcro is sewed along the two long sides. A padded Cordura four section set of pockets, each large enough to hold a moderately sized full frame lens (eight inches by three inches) can be attached to the velcro strips sewed to the sides. There will also be space inside at one end for a DSLR or mirrorless camera with a moderately sized lens pointing up. If you have fast lenses or long zooms, two of the four padded cells may need to remain empty. I would keep chargers and extra batteries in an end pocket, filters in the side pockets; documents, flash memory toothbrush & toothpaste, and medication in the zippered pocket. Phil

This bag rocks. Such a classic style and very functional. I got the smaller version just before this larger bag and Im so glad I went with the larger bag. This model has a handle across the top of the bag that allows you to grab it with confidence. Dont know what its treated with but it does a pretty good job of repelling water.
I added a insert that was a big comfort to my gear.
Im using this bag for a Horseman 45af camera with a 75mm lens with lens board and a 6x17 120 film holder and ground glass back with 2xs 4x5 film holder and a bunch of support so it will take a little of gear. I probably could add more gear if I configured the spacers and extra bag liner differently. Al in all its a very good run bag.
Just know the top is clipped closed no zipper so if your needing a ziped closure than you might want to look at other bags.

This bag is extremely spacious. I have two DSLRs with battery grips. Two flashes and 4 lens. Along with other accessories that I use in the field. Excellent bag. The only con is that it did not include a rain cover.

Have the original F2 bag but as I added lenses, I found my decisions as to what lenses to take on a shoot became harder...sometimes not having the right lens for the occasion. The F-1x is perfect allowing me to carry all of the right stuff.

Just ordered this F-1x - have had the F2 for 8 years ... this will sound a little weird ...

Domke bags work so well (for me) because they are what you make of them. They hold far more than you would expect because they are not overly padded, rigid, or boxed out by inflexible compartments that are not really the right size exactly. I add additional protection to some items with old cut down socks, which are great for lenses and speed lights. I add a little bounce protection in the bottoms of some compartments by just adding cut pieces of towel or again socks ... sounds silly ... but it sure works. You would never ever want to check a Domke bag for air travel - but fine for carry on. They are bags to work out of, on location, and for that they are unequaled because they are just a rugged canvas bag. They work best when they are mostly full because everything settles into place and holds everything else in place ... Currently my F2 holds a D750 with grip and L-bracket, 14-24mm, 70-300, 24-85, 18-35, 16mm fish eye, 50mm 1.8, 2 sb700, 3 PW Flex 5s, box of AA bateries, misc cleaning supplies, 2-72mm filters, pens, small tools, charger - really - I finally decided to get a bigger bag so I can carry my backup body. I shoot real estate.

I'm giving a 5 star rating, but would not if I was rating it as a checkable equipment case. That is not what they are. They are an easy to live with, on location bag, that hold way more stuff than you would ever expect.
