Screwdrivers were included in the kit. I replaced the battery in my 2011 MBA and it couldnt have been simpler. Battery has ~12% more capacity than the original and everything is working well. Very worthwhile self fix :) 5

Since Apple no longer supports this notebook I did some searches for an aftermarket battery and found that NewerTech was by far the most named. The directions included were clear and easy to follow. I was also amazed to see that they included the 2 screw drivers needed. I have not seen an increase in time the battery lasts like some have even though I went through the process of getting it synced with the os. It recharges super fast though. I am happy with the battery, would purchase again and recommend. 5

After my Apple battery start to puff my 2011 11" was vintage, no help from Apple, the 2012 11" battery is the same (the still have that one) but they would not sell me one.... shame on you Apple, you lost a sale. Turned to this aftermarket for a replacement. I would not buy a cheap eBay battery but this branded one has warranty and is a direct replacement. If anything it maybe 1mm or so thicker, the back plate was fine once screwed down. But was a little proud without the screws. Work fine, system profiler can ready cycles and battery info OK. 5

Our Macbook Air was won back on November 30, 2012 per television promotion. Approximately around February 10th 2017 the unit was not holding a charge for too long, The battery indicator would read replace soon. After researching the subject we came across B&H and found the Nu Power battery. What we liked most about the Nu Power were the instructional videos, reviews ,and the tools needed were provided in the box. The installation was straight forward and the laptop turned on immediately. The battery now lasts over 4 hours on a full charge and no battery indicator reading replace soon. Second time I have replaced the battery in my Mac Book Air. Apple turns their noses up at anything older than 5 years and wants you to buy a new computer. Anybody can do the replacement work and the on line battery start up procedure is clear. 5
