If you've ever had difficulty removing a filter from your lens, these Sensei Rubberized 55-62mm Filter Wrenches can help save the day. Two steel wrenches that each features a fully-rubberized surface are included with this set. Both wrenches may also be used to separate up to two stacked filters on a single lens. This can be accomplished by using one wrench to hold the filter closest to the lens in place and using the other wrench to unscrew the other filter. Along with long handles and a squeeze-type design, their rubberized surfaces further ensure comfort and provide an enhanced grip for ease of use. These wrenches are compatible with filters ranging from 55-62mm in diameter.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can it works for 82mm

A: No unfortunately, the set will only accommodate filters up to 77mm. We do not have any options that will work with 82mm sized filters.

Q: 2. Will you make a 65mm size specifically for the Leica Q2? This looks like a good lens cap and it is not $50 like some similar alternatives. At $25 USD, there would be a lot of Q2 users who would buy this cap if it were made in a 65mm size.

A: this one should work PODFNDR6772 (next size up)

Q: 3. Does this one fit M4/3s Lens ?

A: It will fit on any lens with a 55~62mm front diameter. If your MFT lenses have the right front diameter, this should fit without issue. :)

Q: 4. I need to cover an eyepiece that is 60mm in diameter and 1 1/2" deep. will this work?

A: The PolarPro 55 to 62mm Defender Lens Cover is designed to use with lenses, so it is hard to say that it will for sure stretch to fit on an eyepiece. We would have to be test it first, with both items in hand.

Q: 5. Are these Sensei Rubberized (ie. steel coated with rubber) wrenches worth the extra cost over the plastic ones? I'm asking in the context of 58mm filters, but also just in general.

A: Yes. I've had the plastic ones break. These probably won't ever break and the rubber coating is sticky and grabs the filter better. I own them in 3 different sizes. Definitely worth the extra cost.

Q: 6. Is this worth the extra money/weight over the Sensei plastic versions?

A: Yes the rubberized wrench is better than the plastic versions. You get a better feel and can use more strength with the rubberized ones. I bought both and ended up using just the rubberized steel one. But it also depends on how tight the filter is stuck on the lens. Unfortunately for me, my UV filter is pretty stuck on the lens since it's been there since I bought the lens so neither rubberized or steel wrenches worked to get the filter off. That being said I still think that purchasing the wrenches was a good idea and if I had to do it again I would just buy the rubberized ones. Hope this helps.

Q: 7. How thick are these?

A: The Sensei 72-82mm Rubberized Filter Wrench (2-Pack) are about 5mm thick.

Q: 8. If I have the 82mm thread, should I order 72-82 or 82-95 size?

A: The 72-82 will provide better grip

Q: 9. What is the depth of the 55-62 cover?

A: The depth of the cap itself is 34MM.

Q: 10. Would this cover be to big for the Canon 50mm 1.8?

A: Hi--the Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens has a 49mm filter size, so this cover is too large.

Easy to use for filters that are too tight to easily remove, effective and very timely shipping.

I had a filter on two different lenses that I couldn't unscrew off (all 77mm). The instructions provided with the filter wrench worked and got both filters off without any damage to the lenses or the threads.

Simple solution to 2 huge problems. Filters get stuck, Those cheap plastic filter wrenches break. This solves both problems.

I love this tool! I stacked two 48 mm filters together for use on a 2 eyepiece, not a camera. Both were German made but of different manufacturers. The threads fit perfectly but one had a scalloped outer edge that made removal from the other very difficult. I ended up replacing one of the filters before I found this tool, offered as an accessory for the filter I bought. To use, you really do need to thread the filters back on to the either the camera lens or the eyepiece. Attempting to remove one filter from the other while hand held was not going to work. Once I thread them back on to the eyepiece, removing the outer lens was super simple and took little effort. No damage occurred to either filter, outer case of the filters or the eyepiece. A brilliant must have tool set. The wrenches come conveniently in a two pack. A must as well. Highly recommended.

Several weeks ago, I put a 82mm circular polarizer on my Nikkor 300mm lens. After shooting a couple of shots, I went to remove it..... and that is where my frustration began. For the life of me, the filter would not come off. Got home and tried using a lid remover, but the filter would not budge. Had my bride try it as that lady can get a lid off of anything, but she just shook her head 'no' after giving it her best attempt. Out of desperation, I figured that B&H would likely have something that could work so ordered a pair of these. Within 10 seconds the filter came right off the lens. What I most appreciate is that there were a pair in the package - one that I can keep in my camera bag, and another that I can keep in my office/studio.

Have already used the wrench kit to remove a filter from one of my Nikkor lenses. Grips great and is easy to use.
