If you've ever had difficulty removing a filter from your lens, these Sensei Rubberized 62-72mm Filter Wrenches can help save the day. Two steel wrenches that each features a fully-rubberized surface are included with this set. Both wrenches may also be used to separate up to two stacked filters on a single lens. This can be accomplished by using one wrench to hold the filter closest to the lens in place and using the other wrench to unscrew the other filter. Along with long handles and a squeeze-type design, their rubberized surfaces further ensure comfort and provide an enhanced grip for ease of use. These wrenches are compatible with filters ranging from 62-72mm in diameter.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this worth the extra money/weight over the Sensei plastic versions?

A: Yes the rubberized wrench is better than the plastic versions. You get a better feel and can use more strength with the rubberized ones. I bought both and ended up using just the rubberized steel one. But it also depends on how tight the filter is stuck on the lens. Unfortunately for me, my UV filter is pretty stuck on the lens since it's been there since I bought the lens so neither rubberized or steel wrenches worked to get the filter off. That being said I still think that purchasing the wrenches was a good idea and if I had to do it again I would just buy the rubberized ones. Hope this helps.

Q: 2. Does it fits on a Tamron 18-400?

A: Just keep the package! It should fit, but sometimes it just doesn't. Good luck. Odds are it will fit on the tamron 18-400 just fine

Q: 3. Will this fit the Canon RF 24-240mm?

A: Yes.

Q: 4. Will this fit the Canon RF 24-240mm? looking for an alteritive to spending $40.00 on the Canon.

A: Yes, you can use that hood.

Q: 5. Are these Sensei Rubberized (ie. steel coated with rubber) wrenches worth the extra cost over the plastic ones? I'm asking in the context of 58mm filters, but also just in general.

A: Yes. I've had the plastic ones break. These probably won't ever break and the rubber coating is sticky and grabs the filter better. I own them in 3 different sizes. Definitely worth the extra cost.

Q: 6. Will this fit with Sony 16-35 F4 PZ lens?

A: Yes, the Sensei 72mm quick clip lens hood will fit onto the threads of the Sony 16-35mm f/4 PZ lens. However, due to how long the hood is, there is a good chance it will vignette at the wide end of the lens.

Q: 7. Can it works for 82mm

A: No unfortunately, the set will only accommodate filters up to 77mm. We do not have any options that will work with 82mm sized filters.

Q: 8. How thick are these?

A: The Sensei 72-82mm Rubberized Filter Wrench (2-Pack) are about 5mm thick.

Q: 9. I use a Sensei 58mm to 72mm adapter ring to mount 72 mm filters on my Lumix 12-35 lens. This works fine, except I cannot use the original lens hood and the front glass is exposed to direct sunlight. Will this lens hood feel the bill, without vignetting? Thanks in advance.

A: I did have some problems with the tulip design. It did show up in the picture. What I have to do is check the picture out before taking to make sure.

Q: 10. As these are metal, will they scratch the filters or lens barrel?

A: Yes they metal. Have not had occasion to use them yet.

If you've ever struggled to unlock the embrace of two filters or a filter and a lens, you know what frustration it can be to do so. These simple devices allow for even distribution of torque in a way that your fingertips are challenged to reproduce. Affordable, too.

I was easily able to remove two filters from a wide-aperture tele lens, which were impossible to remove by hand -- even trying hard. One was a narrow polarization filter, the other a thick protective filter.

I had two filters on my lens that I could not get off, no matter what I did. The wrench, which was easy to use, was able to separate the filters in a few minutes. I recommend this product.

This is a perfect tool to remove those aluminum filters that bind up so easily. Do not use to tighten filter, though, as may damage threads on filter or lense
