A: Yes, 12V give 100% light -same as AC power.I don't have a 12V battery yet, so I used my 12V car battery to check the answer to your question.P.S.On AA battery, the light look to my eyes, as dim down to 60% in wide angle, and 75% in the narrow-angle of the focus light lens.

I had to purchase a third light as I realized these are perfect for a 3-point lighting setup. I shoot a lot of interviews and have never been able to match room color temperatures this well. If you have room to walk these lights in, they are fantastic. If you're looking for something that'll throw light further, these might not be for you. Be sure to download the app to be able to control your lights from your phone! 5
