The 9' Drop Stand Light Stand from Savage extends from a minimum height of 43" to a maximum height of 9', offering a load capacity of 16 lb. It folds down to 41" and weighs 6 lb for easy transport. This stand features auto-extending and collapsing legs, with air cushioning for quick, secure repositioning and breaking down after a shoot. A reversible 1/4"-20 to 3/8" stud adapter is usable on either the top or side of the stand.

A: According to Savage, each cross bar consists of 4 sections, totaling 12 feet. It can also be used with only three crossbar sections when 10' wide applications are needed.

Q: 3. What is the maximum height that these stands extend to? Also...the maximum width? I am looking to use for my dance studio shots and wanted to be sure I could accommodate large groups.

A: Definitely cannot accommodate large group shots. I use mine for a dance studio as well. It's not really able to be used in the way in which Savage advertises it. I was hoping to use it as a corner backdrop, to gain width. Unfortunately, one is used to shoot on and the other reflects light using white paper. I wouldn't purchase it again.

Q: 4. Are the widths adjustable? If I wanted to hang an 8x10 drop on one side and an 8x8 on the other to create a room would I be able to adjust the length to clip the 8x8 drop?

A: Yes. The following unit adapts to telescopic crossbars and very easy to adjust from 4 1/2 ft to 12 ft.

A: The Savage MultiFlex Light Stand (10'), B&H # SAMF10, is compatible with lights that have a standard 5/8" baby receptacle on the bottom of the light fixture or on the light fixture yoke. The standard 5/8" baby stud on the top of the light stand is also reversible, and has a 1/4"-20 male thread on one end, and a 3/8"-16 male thread on the other end, and may be used with light fixtures with the aforementioned female thread socket sizes. The light stand has a maximum load capacity of 9 lbs (4.08 kgs).

My first time buys the easy set light. This is a very easy pick and drops among locations. It has the air cushion prevent any sudden drop the light. I like it with this price. 5

So easy to use when you're a wedding photographer working by yourself and carrying all your stuff. No need to worry about the light stand hitting anyones feet as your walking away with it. Works perfect with my speedlites. Would not use for anything heavier though. 5

I just this light stand for a headshot section, it was really easy to set up and I just love the convenience of moving it around, just pick it up and drop it anywhere. It's not a heavy light stand but it's not light by any means. I will be buying another one to replace the light stand that came with my kit. The only gripe I have about it is that it does not come with a carrying case, but don't let that discourage you. 5

It moves effortlessly and the legs collapse for easy movement. When you set it down the legs spread out without assistance. Quite handy. 5

At this price it is a very good product. This is not the strongest stand, but it fits perfectly for my Genery Octalux Led light. Closed it takes up little space and ranks really well 5
