The Tiffen 5 x 5" CC20G Green Filter is a color compensating (or color correction) filter for use when making color balance adjustments. It can be used to alter the color balance of a scene by placing in front of a light source or the lens of your camera. It can also be used to apply color corrections when used in the darkroom with an enlarger or to help pre-visualize color adjustments when viewing prints.

Green is the opposite of magenta and can be used to reduce magenta tones or casts within a scene or print. This green CC20 is more dense than a CC10 filter and less dense than a CC30 filter, and requires a 0.3 stop compensation for normal exposure results.

Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology; a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 5 x 5" / 127 x 127mm.

Q: 3. Can you tell me exactly what model # flashlights these filters along with the other colors and defusers fits as I want to get a flashlight that works with this type filter & defuser one that has the rubber type housing & lanyard hole. Will they work with the XML-T6 or UltraFire C8 ?

A: You will need to check the head diameter of these flashlights. It needs to be 1.6 (4.0 cm) at the head diameter to work with these filters. Many of the better known flashlights - Surefire, Nitecore, EagleTec, Fenix, etc have standard head diameter sizes of there high-end tactical lights. I'm not familiar with UltraFire. XML-T6 is a Cree LED type and comes in many flashlight brands. Check for the actual flashlight model and then check for the head diameter. On a quick web search for the UltraFire C8 it looks like the head diameter is 45mm. Not a standard filter size and so the filter above will not work. But check the specs before a final decision. The 40mm filters also come in red, blue, sometimes yellow (rare) and a white light diffuser. You might also check the flashlight manufacturers site for models of their filters - they may be custom.

Q: 4. I have a Nikon camera with the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II lens. The filter attachment size for this lens is 52mm but I have bought a couple other uv protective attachments that are described as 52mm and they don't fit/are too small and I'm not sure why and was just wondering if this product would fit my lens or not. Any feedback would be helpful, thanks!

A: 52mm is a standard size thread for lens filters, this should fit.

Q: 5. Will this filter fit on a Zeiss 28mm Biogon lens?

A: Yes, the Leica E46 will fit lenses with a standard 46mm filter thread such as the Zeiss 28mm Biogon. I use the Leica E46 Green filter on a Zeiss 50mm C Sonnar lens. However, I mostly use the excellent B+W F-Pro MRC filters at 1/3rd the cost of the Leica branding.

Q: 6. What is the filter factor for this lens. I am guessing it costs 1.5 stops?

A: This filter has a filter factor of 2.5, so you should increase your exposure by 1 and 1/3 of a stop to compensate.

Q: 7. Will this stretch some to fit flashlight with a 35mm bezel?

A: The Nitecore Blue Filter for 34mm Flashlight is made for 34mm bezels. It is too small to fit onto one that is 35mm.

Q: 8. What does the "green" do?

A: The K&F Concept Nano-X ND2-ND32 Green Multicoated Variable ND Filter's coating is used to neutralize color temperature deviations that occur under certain lighting conditions. This helps with color balance, reducing light loss, and managing reflections that would affect the contrast of the overall image.

Q: 9. Front thread size 55mm on 55mm version?

A: Yes, the front thread size of the K&F Concept Nano-X ND2-ND32 Green Multicoated Variable ND Filter (55mm) is 55mm.

Q: 10. Will this stretch some to fit on flashlight with 42mm bezel?

A: The Nitecore Blue Filter for 40mm Flashlight will not fit a 42mm bezel.
