The lens incorporates a mask that exaggerates the anamorphic lens flare effect to simulate the look of a 2x anamorphic element. Zacuto 1/4 20 Lens Support B&H # ZAZ14LS1. In a pinch however you can handhold it. In this situation, the camera mounts to the lens so if you hold the lens, no particular strain on the lens mount.
