Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Meant to ask about attaching Cokin 67 mm adapter on this step up ring to work on a 55 mm lens with the P Cokin Filter holder?

A: This ring can fit on a 55-67mm step ring in order to mount a Cokin P holder.

Q: 2. I have never used step rings before and am just wondering can they be stacked to use 62mm filter on 52mm lens? Or is there an other option I should consider. Does stepping up like that increase the chance of lens damage considering the filter extends wider than the barrel? Thanks

A: Yes, they work just fine. I would echo the caution on internal reflections.

Q: 3. Can I purchase a 72mm filter and use that one filter on both a 72mm lens and a 46mm lens with the 46-72mm step-up ring?

A: Yes, that's exactly what it's for.

Q: 4. Can this Magnetic Step-Up Ring be used with the Kase 82mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II?

A: The Freewell Magnetic Step-Up Ring (67-82mm) can be used with the Kase 82mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II.

Q: 5. What are the thread pitches on this ring?

A: Although the manufacturer does not publish the thread pitch, threads within this larger size are normally 1.0mm.

Q: 6. Could this be used on a sirui 60mm portrait lens for smartphones?

A: No, that step-up ring will not fit. The Sirui 60mm Portrait Lens does not have threads to screw into.

Q: 7. Hello, Will 62-82mm ring be usable with my 62mm, 18-250 sigma lens and Sioti 100 filter holder? Thank you.

A: Depending on what size the Sioti filter holder system requires on the lens end, if it requires an 82mm filter thread then yes, this ring would make it able to be used on your Sigma 18-250mm.

Q: 8. I have a 77 mm promist filter but I need to adapt it to my 95 mm lenses (28-70mm), is it possible with this adapater?

A: This adapter would not work. You are looking for a step-down adapter instead of a step-up adapter. I do not recommend this though, as it will cause a severe vignette of the image.

Q: 9. Will this work with K&F magnetic filters?

A: Unfortunately Haida 67-77mm Magnetic Step-Up Ring has not been tested with other brand filters so your results may vary.

Q: 10. What lens cap do i need to fit this ring?

A: This is a step up ring to fit a larger filter into smaller diameter lens. So to answer your question the lens cup will need to be 77mm.

This fits on my 82mm threaded lens and stays tight. Perfectly adapts to my matte box, which doesn't slip off.

Bought this to use the 95mm filters I have on other lenses. It works but at first the threads were a little rough.
