Using this for 360 orbital and more

Surprisingly simple to create panoramas with, very portable. I have a Gigapan Epic Pro head that works well, but it's not this easy or flexible, and it's nowhere near as portable... it requires its own backpack. The head itself has also always had a little play where it attaches to the tripod. And, there's no mobile app so you can't store settings between uses.


You can take this kit down until it easily fits into a camera backpack with the rest of your gear. Note that the gear noise is audible, so while it can be used for video, e.g., time-lapse or hyperspeed, you'd not want to capture audio at the camera.


Otherwise a very good solution at a fair price.

The initial setup and firmware update seemed a little cumbersome, as I learned I had to totally “forget” all existing Wi-Fi connections in order for the weak signal from the mini to retain a connection.
However, I still gave this 5 Stars because the Support from Syrp was exceptional. I had already resolved the issue before they could respond and gave them an update on my solution. Even though there was no longer an issue, they checked with me a few days later to be certain I was still satisfied.

The device works as advertised and was more affordable to me than other options I had reviewed. I like the fact that I can add tilt functionality at a later time. Also, Syrp support confirmed that they intend to add bramping to the firmware in the future.

Took my time lapse and panorama shooting to a new level! Absolutely fantastic.

The app interface is very intuitive and easy to use. I love how sturdy it feels and the ease of use.

As Genie Mini II is intuitively designed, I could start to use it soon in photo fields. It can provide me wonderful situations to create dramatic time-lapse and panorama images. I already to begin to get the second one. Only my request for the Mini II is an additional function of holy grail photography.

Great little on-camera monitor especially for outdoor shooting in bright conditions. The power connection does get in the way with the camera mount so I would recommend getting the right angle version if you want to run it via dtap from your camera batteries. I'm finding the EL Zone exposure system to be a game changer, for that feature alone I highly recommend this monitor. If you own other Small HD monitors it's great to have them all setup the same, as many people have commented, the operating system is the best.

I have the Genie 2 system and slider and to be honest it's not without challenges. These v2 units are a big improvement on V1 in terms of connectivity, but I still have to monitor and work with the setup frequently to get it stable. However, the 5 stars is because this system has gotten me work, and given impressive results to clients that make the challenges well worth it. If I give myself extra time to work out things like updates and connection, it gives incredible value to my productions.

I purchased two of these to replace my gen 1 Minis. Syrp did a very nice job improving an already great product. Multirow panoramas, key framing, and the connectivity with the updated app makes the shine. I look forward to trying it out with my Genie One and magic carpet
