A: It has a smooth back. No mounting holes. I don't think it was designed to mount to anything. I use it to power LED lights via battery that have 4 pin XLR power input but no battery mount. The cord is long enough to run the light up just over 6 feet leaving the battery resting on the ground.

A: I dont use the portabrace... its in a pelican case and when removed sits without a cover. I use Vmount batteries (with an adapter). Like Litepanels though, Ive noticed that the monitor gets hotter using batteries, so you might take that into consideration covering it during use.
