The Tiffen 62mm 81C Light Balancing Filter helps to decrease the color temperature by 400K in order to warm the image slightly in order to match the color quality of illumination. When using an 81C filter, you will be able to attain 3200K balance when the prevailing light source is 3600K. The warming effect of this filter requires a 0.3-stop increase in exposure for normal results.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting to precision metal rings.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the possibility of vignetting with this lens if I use a 18-55 or 18-200 mm lens?

A: When these lenses are used on cropped sensor cameras, there should not be any vignetting. If this filter is attached on top of a UV filter, then there may be some vignetting at 18 mm.

Q: 2. Can I combine this 77mm to Cokin Z series Holder?? Or how can I combine this stuff . I have Fuji XT3 with kit lens 18- 55mm (58o) . I bought step up ring 58 - 77mm to attach Cokin Z series Holder. Which polarizer should I get or how to attach this with IT??

A: You can mount the Tiffen 77CP filter on your lens as you normally would. This filter has front filter threads where you can then mount the Cokin filter adapter ring and the holder. Keep in mind that the CP filter outer ring rotates

Q: 3. Will this work with Nikkor 18-55mm and Nikkor 55-300 mm lenses?

A: This filter will be compatible with the 18-55 Nikon lens, however the 55-300mm lens has a 58mm filter thread.

Q: 4. Will this work on a Sigma 100-400?

A: The Tiffen 67mm Circular Polarizing Filter is compatible with the Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary Lens.

Q: 5. One of the reviews stated that it does not cover the whole image . Just curious if anyone else noted vignetting with FX formats. I would use it with a 24-70 mm Nikon lens (sometimes I stack with a UV filter if I can't remove that quickly) - don't know if they were doing this or not).

A: The vignetting is caused by you have turned too much, you should turn back a little bit to allow both top corners to reduce the vignetting

Q: 6. I have a nikon 28-70mm lens but my question is whether this type of filter can be used on my lens? please reply

A: Hello. I am a canon user so I am not positive but yes I believe the Nikon lens you mentioned is 77mm and will be able to use this filter. If you look at the lens (usually the face near the front end) you will see a number like 67mm, 77mm etc ... if the lens reads 77mm you will be able to screw this filter on.

Q: 7. Will this work on the Canon - VIXIA HF R600 Full HD Camcorder?

A: As the Canon VIXIA HF R600 Full HD Camcorder has a 43mm filter thread on the front of the lens, yes, the Tiffen 43mm Circular Polarizing Filter would be compatible for use on the camcorder.

Q: 8. Will the Canon lens hood EW-73C fit on this?

A: Yes, you can use the EW-73C with this filter.

Q: 9. Question, I have a Sanyo VPC-E2100 and i'm considering getting a polarizer or UV filter, what would be a good size for it since it's 25mm wide or 4.594.5mm?

A: I use a UV filter as a general practice filtering and protection of my lens Canon 24-105 77 mm which is a very expensive lens. Then I use a 77mm Tiffen circular on top of it which works well for bright reflections or water photography.Hope this helps.Bob D

Q: 10. Does it come with a case/pouch or do I need to buy one seperately?

A: Should come in a hard plastic, indestructible Tiffen case. I have a soft folding filter folio that velcros closed, in which I put my filters to carry with me.
