Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. You list possible vertical spread angles, but not the horizontal dispersion angle. I am trying to cover a space without the use of a center array. I should be able to do it if the horizontal spread is about 75 or 80 degrees. Will I make it?

A: The Toa Electronics HX-5W Variable Dispersion Array Speaker have a specified horizontal dispersion angle of 100 degrees.

Q: 2. Want to replace Bose tall colum speakers with the Toa Array in a old Catholic church app. 160ft throw using a Crown CDI 1000 at 70 volts. will 2 do it or do I need 2 more to carry to the back of the church?

A: Two of these speakers will not carry all the way to 160', you may need two more half way in the church. if you have a layout for the church, please send it over to this e-mail, I will get you a design for the system, also did you think about Subs for the system? naji@nfscom.com

Q: 3. do they come as a pair or as individual speakers?

A: This listing is for a single Toa Electronics F-1300WTWP speaker.

Q: 4. What would be a good amp to pair with a pair of these speakers?

A: It depend how it is used, if you are using these speakers for speeches, and normal music you can use the DA-250D this gives you 250 watts per speaker. If you are using it in a loud music environment you can use the DA-250F in a bridge mode, that will give you 500 Watts per speakers.Another configuration with Subs, two of them, you can use the FB-120, and add another DA-250D for the subs.

Q: 5. I can only hear the hi and. Not the mid im probably connecting them wrong anyone can help me?

A: The HX-5W is a full range speaker array that features 5 woofers. It is best to use this array with a subwoofer for a fuller sound and to minimize the impact low end frequencies can have on the relatively small 5 woofers. Another possibility is that the woofers are blown out, causing you to hear only mid and high frequencies. It would be advisable to contact TOA Product support at 800-733-4748 (option 2) for warranty claims.

Q: 6. Can one Crown XLi 3500 amplifier carry a pair of toa hx-5w? i.e 8 enclosures

A: Good combination. The amp will have plenty of headroom to safely drive the TOA arrays.

Q: 7. is the $529 the price for the entire 4 array or each speaker? what is the SPL of each speaker and the entire rig?

A: The HX-5B is sold as shown. The array features 4 angle adjustable units. SPL rating is not provided by the Manufacturer. All available specs provided in the documentation: https://a href= http://static.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/257736.pdf target= _blank static.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/257736.pdf/a

Q: 8. Are 3 sets of these on each side and subs going to overload with a live church band?

A: I don't think you will have any problem with 6 arrays. The Toa Electronics HX-7B are rated at 750W continuous program at 8 Ohms for 1 array.

Q: 9. Can this sub be paired outdoors with the TOA HX-5W-WP Mini Line Array?

A: The TOA FB-120B 12" 600W Subwoofer can be paired with the TOA HX-5W Variable Dispersion Line Array Speaker, but these speakers are intended indoor use. They are not weather-proof or weather-resistant.

Q: 10. Are they powered or passive?

A: Passive

We got 5 for school and we love them. They are louder and stronger then our old ones. A must have for playground aids.

This is a great megaphone! Works great, long battery life, and is light enough to haul around all day without getting burdened down.

Many megaphones currently on the market appear to be essentially the same unit, with around 10 different brand names. In my experience, these clones suffer from poor design which leads to unreliable performance.

All of the TOA megaphones I have used, including this one, are totally different from the clones. TOA has always made excellent, reliable professional and commercial audio gear. TOA's megaphones follow this tradition.

This ER-1215S 15 Watt megaphone works very well. It has excellent clarity (articulation and penetration), and is as subjectively loud as one of the clones with double the rated wattage. The siren feature is effective if you need it. This megaphone appears to be built very well and features a straightforward battery compartment design and an excellent switch/trigger.
