The Cokin X-Pro Series Hard-Edge Graduated Blue 0.5 Filter is designed for use with a Cokin X-Pro Series Filter Holder. It can be used to add blue to a hazy or colorless sky. When used instead of a polarizer filter to enhance the sky within an image, the desired effect can be applied only to the sky, without any unwanted polarization or additional contrast to any part of the image. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a hard-edged line of transition between the dense and clear areas. A graduated filter with a hard-edged line of transition is useful for images which include defined horizon lines. This filter has up to a 0.5 density and reduces light from entering a lens by up to one and two-thirds of a stop.

This filter is made of durable, optical resin (CR39) and measures 3.0mm thick.

For Cokin X-Pro Series Holders    Up to 3x Filter Factor, 1.6 Stop    Enhances Gray or Colorless Sky    Hard-Edged Line of Transition    Optical Resin CR39 Filter

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What size filter rings come in the traveller's kit?

A: The Cokin P-series Traveler's Kit does not come with the required lens filter adapters to attach the filter holder to your lens. You may purchase them separately, and they are available in various sizes, between 48mm to 82mm sizes. https://bhpho.to/3DIV0aK

Q: 2. Solar Filter: Are any Cokin filters suitable to safely view & photograph the sun? I'm gearing up for this August's solar eclipse.

A: Unfortunately, Cokin does not have any filters that are designed for solar photography usage. However, if you own the Cokin Z-PRO filter holder, which uses 4 x 4 (100mm x 100mm) filters, then the LEE Filters 100x100mm Solar Eclipse Filter, B&H # LESE100, would work in your filter holder for your photographic usage needs.

Q: 3. Are these compatible with the Cokin NX filter holder?

A: Unfortunately, the Cokin Z-Pro Series Hard-Edge Graduated Neutral Density Filter Kit cannot fit the Cokin NX Holder due to the thinner design on these filters.

Q: 4. What is the filters thickness?

A: The filter is 2.85mm or 0.112 thickness.

Q: 5. How many mm is this filter? L&W?

A: Cokin NUANCES Extreme Z-Pro Series ND 1.8 Filter (6-Stop) is 100 X 100 X 2 mm.

Q: 6. is it work with "NiSi V6 100mm Filter Holder"?

A: Yes, these filters will work in the Nisi holder.

Q: 7. Is this filter MRC coated or scratch resistant?

A: This filter has NiSi Optical Nano Coating. This means it has a water beading action. No information about anti-scratch.

Q: 8. Can I use the Cokin X-Pro ring, filter holder and 130x170mm filters with 77mm nikon lens?

A: You can use the Cokin X-Pro filter holder and 130 X 170mm filters with a Nikon lens that has a 77mm filter thread. You would simply need the Cokin X-Pro 77mm Adapter Ring (B&H # COARXP77) to mount the X-Pro filter holder on your lens.

Q: 9. Is it possible to buy a polarizing filter 130 for Cokin X-PRO Filters thanks
