Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Tallest lens it will accommodate?

A: This case can accommodate a lens that is up to 8.5 inches tall.

Q: 2. Would this case fit Schneider Xenon FF lenses?

A: Yes, the Nanuk 918 6-Lens Case with Foam Insert (Black) can hold Schneider Xenon FF lenses.

Q: 3. How deep is the 4" section of the hole? Is the lower section exactly 3"? Would a 3.15" lens be able to squeeze in?

A: The pre-cut foam dimensions included with Nanuk 918 6-Lens Case are 6.5 x 9 x 10.5 inches. each lens cavity has 2 removable foam disc to fit long or short lenses. The first session is 2 inches deep. the first foam disc is 1.5'' tall and the second disk towards the bottom of the insert is 2.5 inchees tall. If you remove all foam disk the insert would reach a 6 inche depth. The width of the insert on the top section is 4 inchess, the botton sections is only 3 inches. I wouldnt't recommend this inserts if your lens circumference is winder then the insert because of the pressure you'll be putting on your lenses.

Q: 4. How to make holes longer? Can I use a serrated knife or? Can the pre-cut insert be removed easily?

A: The Nanuk 918 6-Lens Case with Foam Insert (Yellow) is designed to hold six lenses. If you need to change the configuration get the Nanuk 918 Case with Cubed Foam Insert (Yellow). This includes cubed foam that is easy to configure. Here is the link: https://bhpho.to/3CL4zbH

Q: 5. Would an assembled C100 mk ii (top handle attached, and Canon EF 24-70 lens mounted) fit in this case?

A: Based on the measurements it would be a very tight fit and not recommended. Another choice that would work is https://bhpho.to/39ftveq

Q: 6. Can you tell me if this will hold a set of DZO Vespid prime ?

A: We recommend the following case for Vespid lenses. https://bhpho.to/3zLO0aL

Q: 7. Is this case going to accommodate DZO Arles lenses?

A: The Nanuk 918 Hard Case with Foam Insert for Six Lenses (Yellow, 21L) would not be a good choice for the DZOFilm Arles lenses. The DZOFilm Hard Case for Arles 5-Lens Set, BH #DZOCASEAP5, would be recommended to use with the Arles series of lenses.

Q: 8. Can the Meike ff cine prime lenses PL mount fit in ?

A: Yes, the Meike Full-Frame Cine Prime PL-mount lenses will fit in the Nanuk 918 6-Lens Case with Foam Insert (Black).

Q: 9. Can you tell me if this will hold a set of Rokinon Cine DS lenses? ( 16, 24, 35, 50, 85, 135mm).

A: Yes this case can hold those Rokinon lenses.

Q: 10. What is the diameter of each hole?

A: Each hole is roughly 4 inches in diameter and they taper down to about 3 inches. If you have some lenses that are larger the 4 inches I would recommend either the foam insert version https://bhpho.to/3eztYYT or the divider version: https://bhpho.to/36Rfyil The Divider version is more adaptable in case you change which lenses or other accessories you might be carrying.

Great quality, fast shipping. My company uses Nanuk cases for far more expensive equipment than I will ever own, so I certainly trust them for my purposes. The 918 makes a near perfect-fit case for the UE Hyperboom, but you may want to go one size up to leave room for more padding.

The actual size is smaller than I had originally though, luckily I looked at the measurements and knew it would work for all the lenses I currently have. Make sure you check the measurements.

I own quite a few of the Nanuk cases that range in size from smaller to larger. Everyone is different in how they want their case set up and if the foam cubes or the insert is better though I really like to customize my case pending on what camera gear I am storing in that specific case. For this case I made it custom to fit my 400mm F2.8 lens as the case that the lens comes with is fairly low quality with cheaper feeling clasps. The Nanuk case is legit - it has really nice locking clasps (x2) and it's great when I am traveling since it has wheels. The case itself is also REALLY light weight and comfortable to hold. I like how the handles also have rubber grips too - I know it is a small thing but I'm always on the go and it makes it way more comfortable to carry round to and from the car to my shoots locations. Cases are somewhat of a specific need - so do your measurements ahead of time to ensure you are getting the right one for your needs. I will be buying more Nanuk cases for sure as it's quite likely I'll be getting more camera gear... ha ha

Great case, perfect for keeping all my prime lens in one place. I was able to cut the lower foam to keep all the lens flush in the case. Now I'm not searching for where my lens are and they are safe.

This thing looks pretty tough, and comes as described. The one thing I found annoying was that it was easy to lock the latches down while they were open. Only a mild nuisance, the latches work great when they're doing what they're supposed to be.

you can't go wrong with a case like this. I spend a lot of money on my lenses and didn't have a case, now there are very well protected. It looks very cool too. I love the orange

the case is sturdy, and the interior is dense and protective. I pulled just one section of the removable padding in each hole to allow room for my CZ primes (which are all adapted with an 80mm lens front).

I am a travel photographer based in Vermont. I found this Nanuk 918 during a B & H sale and decided to give it a try. I had read good reports about the case, and it looked to be the right size for traveling on a motorcoach. Well, I was right. This is very sturdy and has lots of room for its size. There is so much protection and it is so easy to handle that I don't know how I got along without it before. If you need protection for your expensive lenses at a good price this may well be the case for you.
